Sounds reasonable. Pay is 1.5x your salary and you're expecting to like the job (which is important). Additional monetary rewards are minimal at QP though. Their raise this year was 7% max and inflation here was over 8%. For QR8,400 you will be renting an average flat, unless you want to dip into your savings for a villa.

Singapore is a direct flight from Doha and you get 37 working days holiday/yr +2 one week Eid breaks. Plenty of time to go home for vacation if you're homesick.

It sounds like you would be leaving a secure job to come here though, which may be a risk. QP and Qatar aren't for everybody and I know quite a few people who returned home after 3 months for various reasons.

I think, its still important that you check out educational compensation, if you are married and have kids.

I believe there is no Singaporian school in town.

Well...right now am teaching...for pass 6 years but I see no signs of additional monetary rewards in the near future. The offer in total is about 1.5 times more than my present and the job offered is something I like doing.Seems like my butt is a bit reluctant to move after being here in singapore all my life but the new experience is very tempting.

I guess, if you are a western, you are entitled to western inducement allowance. It’s a couple of thousand riyals. varies a bit with citizenship.

But is the offer standard for the grade. And do you think its a good deal?

If so, please confirm schooling for your kids well in advance.
