I saw a penguin swimming near the corniche!

nope but i see i sealion eating the penguin about 20 meters also i can see it with my two eyes...yup its a lion alright.

Earlier in the thread I said that this would be the only way to fake it - that is TWO separate videos cut together. But if you look in the background, behind the penguin, there's a dark spot under the water, like a rock. You can see this rock in the early part of the video too as he runs up to the water, which is clearly the corniche. Pretty good fake if it is one.

Penguins have a layer of Fat under their skin to keep them warm in pack ice, they do not migrate, and dont move to nothern side... only are found in southern side and hence cannot see penguin near equator. I dont know what animal was that, if its really a penguin its surpirzing to me coz they will die in heat in seconds.

Who does not carry a mobile with a camera these days? Everyone does.. Only a fool would actually stare it for ten minutes and forget to take out his mobile from his pocket and click pictures.. If you had pictures, you would not need to defend yourself and convince people of what you saw..

Not all penguins live in the ice... the penguins in cape town live in 35C and more. Maybe it wasn't a penguin, but you know what they say, if it walks like a penguin and squawks like a penguin - it might be a penguin.

FA the polar bear had applied Fair and lovely all over his body, so no chance of getting any rashes or dark skin....:(

Penguins can't survive on this kind of weather we have here in Doha.Its probably not a penguin you have seen.

that was my penguin..i dropped it in corniche for a morning swimming (as we do morning walk), we went back after 30 mins of swimming..

The gulf has most of the penguins in the world. the Huge ones without a beak. with almost the same walk.

I know what a wild duck looks like... face all pointy. I'm 99% sure this was a penguin and some of the people that saw it though so too. If you down there keep your eyes out. Maybe you'll see it too!

No it was definitely a penguin. I watched it for more than 10 mins and other people saw it too. Swam under the water mostly, not like a seagull at all.

i used to see that along the corniche...but it is a wild DUCK and not a penguin!:)

I don't think you get penguins in this part of the world m8. Probly a black seagull.
