im teary eyed reading your post...i'm emotional to things like this...

it's heart gripping knowing that you are wasting some of the stuffs where others would have be benefiting from it...

always be thankful with what you have...avoid complaining, as you are not experiencing what they are going thru...and try to make a difference helping those who are needy..

btw this is not a single case. Many people do the same so as to save more money for their relatives. Reality in Qatar is harsh. You did well by offering him some food .God bless you.

Some are Wise ... Some are ...Otherwise

The Security guard of my building is from one of the poorest country in the world. Two months back when we were returning from a party I just asked him that did he had his dinner? He replied that he eats only lunch. I was a bit confused as the language was a great barrier. But I had sent some fruits to him that day. My son talked to him and here is his horrifying reality....That young guy merely 22 something, eats only once a day as to save more and send the savings to his parents and siblings back home. He has 12 hrs duty every day and that to without a single off a month. The reality really put me in tears. From that day I am sending him second meal of the day regularly. But what a cruel fact that half world wastes food when the other half is starving.

I do my best not to waste food and water uselessly. I do share my meals with 3 small cats from the neighborhood. Unfortunately I had some troubles because of that. some people just cannot stand having cats inside the flat ( stairs). I did a lot of efforts cleaning myself sometimes , but it's a bit difficult. Well, that's what I came out with so as not to waste and share instead.
