I would like to undergo IVF treatment in Qatar, can anyone let me know of their experiences and how hard it is to get it. Also does anyone have a rough idea of the timespan and costs involved.
Many thanks

IVF no longer needed, I have found out I'm pregnant naturally, just positive thinking and it worked, can't believe it, Im so happy. Thanks for all your advice though!!!
You can get your GP to refer you but before you go for IVF spend some time looking at what might be causing the problem (if you don't already know). The best Dr for this over here is Dr. Iva at Al Monsour polyclinic. She is a world specialist. Very straight talking but her office is filled with pictures of just some of the babies she has helped come into this world. She can not do IVF and will refer to Hamad as it is the best place here.
Thank you for your replies. How do you get an appointment at the Hamad, do you have to go through lots of other exploratory tests first? Or can my doctor refer me?
The only difficult side of the IVF treatment is the daily injections you may have to take and the regular trans vaginal ultrasound scans they perform. But then thats nothing compared to the gains you get.The most painful part will be after they perform a small procedure to remove eggs from the ovaries. you will have to walk around like a old granny for two days because you will have pain in tummy if you stand straight. otherwise it will be like normal pregnancy till the end.
Best place in Qatar is Hamad hospital. Dont believe in private clinics none of them have the standard facilities to store or process the samples. There is an evening clinic in hamad every working day. You can meet doctors there. Dr Mohd Shahata is the best IVF doctor in doha. But IVF per se has only upto 30% success rate. Keep that in mind. Dr Badar is the next best. The consultation fees per visit for dr shahata is 100QR. The whole process including final delivery will come upto QR12000. They will charge you also for the stored embryo's if you utilise them at later date. Take appointment now and you will meet the doctor in 2-3months time. It is called ACU or assisted conception unit.
