to kabayan "affidavit of support" from phil.
I have in my hand now the visa for my wife.
type of visa: Residency Visit Visa - one vist
duration of residence : 5 years
Anyone know the 'latest' requirements in phil. airport? Do they ask for affidavit of support from phil. embassy here in qatar?
I know this is an old topic but their requirements keeps on changing.
I already search the topic here in QL
but the posts are old.
I called the phil. embassy yesterday and they said it is needed.
but my friend said
that he already sponsored 5 of his family and it is not a requirement.(his visa is family visit - but only 6month duration)
note: mine is 5-year duration period.
so im thinking, if in his case, ndi xa hinanapan, how much more in my case?
He said, if I ask the phil embassy, for sure they will say that it is required...of course that is money for them. daw!
So, im asking if anyone know this or has first hand experience in airport requirements?
for those who experience this last month or couple of months or just recently?
processing documents from our embassy is expensive plus fare...plus waste of time if
in case it is not needed.
your info will be helpful to me. thank you :)
some BI officials at the airport are so fussy and asks for it, some don't.. so it's your call..
from my experience, as your friend said is true...this document is just nothing but for the sake of being safe, my husband did it and get it done from the embassy.
yes.ur both correct. I think its better to secure this document.
thanks for the info.
im new here in QL ... good infos from filex
thanks
plus try to read topics related to your case on Filex :D

it's better to be sure than sorry.. it's not hard to secure one anyway, saves you a lot of inconvenience if in case they look for it and you don't have it..
@jancarlo, it would be better to have that document to avoid the hassle that your family will face with BID.
and just fyi, the visa of your family needs a stamp from the Qatar Embassy back home or else the airline won't issue a boarding pass/card to your family. that mandate came from our BID.
