kissing in a bar - confused
So , I realise any kind of public show of affection is against either tradition or religion ,, not sure which. Anyway , so i just happen to be out at my fave Irish bar (which of course should remain nameless to protect the innocent) Having a great night ,, listening to the band , crowd was having fun ,, as one does on a friday night.
My partner and i noted a few couples having a little smooch on the dance floor , as one does when they may have had a few drinks and are with a loved one. Anyhow ,, what we noticed was the security team tapping them on the shoulder and telling them they must stop these actions.
I was unsure about what may have been said and later on bumped into one couple ,, both english ,, late 20's . Were i'd say well behaved hubbie and wife just having a few drinks and unwinding and clearly in love ,,,
What confuses the hell out of me is who is going to be offended at this behaviour in a bar ?
I will also note that there is a sign outside which implicitly bans the entrance of Qatari women ,, men are very much allowed in there and do frequent regularly , so is it those guys that the canoodling couple would be offending ?
I still don't understand who its going to offend ?
Did you try it?
Guess it's some kinda preventive measure.. They prefer to nip things in the bud before they get outta control maybe. Or maybe this is a security measure due to some past mishap. Glad the couples concerned were dignified enough to comply with the orders than cause any commotion.
Bar is the place where certain people from the society go to mingle and jingle and to be away from the wannabees.
Bar is the place where one can mirror the society .....
Show off is not appreciated here. MM is right , it is human nature to stretch the rules to the maximum.
Jet, Limits are for the general benefit , just accept & be peaceful ......
