Most of the LCD / Plasma on display play slow motion video. The video looks vibrant on LCDs with slow response times. Play a fast action video & you can see the LCD comming apart.
Some LCDs are really pathetic with fast-action. The edges of the images get jagged.
The catch is the "Response time" & of course the "looks" of the LCD itself.
Take an action movie DVD & play it on different displays & see for yourself.
The salesguys at Citycentre are real Cons.
They played the DVD for me at the worst display setting (since they were going through the settings very fast they imagined I didnot know what they were doing) on a SONY & played it at the best setting on a LG & told me "See the difference I m telling you to buy LG".
After I insisted on Sony he had the guts to tell me "You made the right decision".
Ok LG had a 40GB harddrive to record movies. But the response time was real bad.

Get one with multiple input-connectors:
PC
S-Video
Component
HDMI (dont buy one without this)
etc (my LCD has around 6 input connectors)
and of course it should be 1080 resolution
I'm sure there are other comments from people which will help also :o)
thanks jauntie

cos I've never heard of ANY of them!!! (which doesn't mean to say they AREN'T sold in UK, just means I don't frequent TV shops too much)
Actually, I think the one I have at home, in England, is a Samsung, so what do *I* know :D
If ur lookng for a good LCD Tv and not blow ur bank a/c u should go for Benq u they have good resolution and very very well priced :)
