Unfortunately I don't know of any retriever pups here. There is one looking to be homed, but I don't think he's pure, and he's an older pup, so you might not be interested.
If your time in Doha is only transitory, then I suggest you put off getting a dog here, and wait until you go back home. If you do decide to purchase retriever for outside, then please take care when you have him here. Purebred dogs get stolen quite frequently here.
Just my two cents..........and if you do change your mind about adopting, you know where to find us. :)

PeteTong, there are no reputable breeders here in Qatar, so it will be very difficult for you to find a pure (certified) retriever puppy. Plus hip dysplasia is a problem in certain breeds, eg German Shepherd, Labradors and retrievers. In Europe and the US breeders usually give proof that they are not breeding animals with a history of hip dysplasia.
So I agree completely with Desert Queen, adopt don't buy. There are many lovely dogs looking for good homes. I sincerely hope that you are not looking to purchase in order to breed. Qatar is not the place for this, and QL is certainly not the place, as most users here place emphasis on adoption.
MandyB, please send me a PM, so that I can contact you. If you are interested in adopting or fostering drop me a line and I can guide you in the right direction.
