Losing weight and staying in shape
Our body is the biggest gift we have... not all of us realise this.... and our discipline and lifestyle reflects on how we look and how we behave....
Beauty doesnt mean just looking like a supermodel... a healthy mind and healthy body is the prerequisite of a happy life....
Our lives have become so busy we dont mind living on cheese burgers, pizzas, junk food and aerated drinks... have we paused a moment to think the damage this does to our precious body...
most of us love to look good but very few of us actually put our resolutions to practice...
Fresh vegetables, sprouts, green leafy vegetables and lentils are invaluable part of our daily meal which has virtually disappeared from our tables...
flavored drinks with artificial dyes, preservatives and canned food which have lost all their freshness have become modern and stylish...
How many of us actually eat healthy?
and the more difficult part.... in this rat race we are busy chasing million dollar dreams we work till we drop late nights and just for the sake of fashion attend smoke filled parties where we drink ourselves silly and wake up the next day with a headache and clothes soiled with our own vomitus....
less than 10% of the worlds educated population has access to health clubs... according to a survey conducted by webmd. mind you this is just 10% of the educated people... imagine the rest.....
Lets start today... instaed of bashing up people on internet and indulging in holier than thou threats... lets do simple things....
lets drink atleast 4 liters of water daily...... it washes away the toxins and keep ur face clean and clear... ur skin actually glows if its hydrated....
lets eat green leafy vegetables daily.....
if you are not lactose intolerant then a glass of milk daily is amazing for the body....
if you are a non vegetarian then meat actually is a rich source of protien... fish is good too
try and go easy on butter cheese and oil in food....
last but not the least...... 20 minutes of brisk exercise daily helps... maybe a brisk walk and a few laps on ur cycle inside your villa compound or a few laps at the swimming pool...
just look at urself in the mirror after 1 month.... u wud love what u see.....
any takers?
Thanks for enlightening the benefits of healthy eating. One of my New Year resolutions was to start eating healthy. I stopped all carborated drinks and junk foods. At the moment I am veggie but I don't know how long I can stay like this because friends and family tempt a lot….lol
