APO/FPO Shipments
Apple does not ship directly to APO/FPO addresses. However, there are a number of third-party forwarding services that can conveniently redirect Apple Store shipments to APO/FPO addresses for a fee.
Here’s how it works:
1. Sign up with one of the third-party forwarding services such as APO Box.
2. Return to the Apple Store to complete your order using the U.S. address provided by the forwarding service.
3. Apple will ship your order to your new U.S. shipping address and the forwarding service will forward your order to your APO/FPO address. (Fees and service vary by vendor.)
APO/FPO Shipping Charges:
Please note that in addition to the standard shipping charges billed by Apple Inc., the forwarding service has its own charge for getting your order to your APO/FPO address. These additional fees include handling fees, Priority Mail postage, and any optional insurance coverage. Both the postage and insurance are charged at published U.S. Postal Service rates.
APO/FPO Insurance (Highly Recommended):
For APO/FPO Shipments, Apple is not responsible for loss or damage to products during shipment from the third-party forwarding service to APO/FPO. Therefore, we highly recommend that you insure each package for up to its full value. Insurance costs range from $3.20 for $200.00 worth of coverage to $21.00 for $2000.00 worth of coverage.
APO/FPO Delivery Time:
Please note that APO/FPO deliveries can take up to 6-8 weeks depending on local conditions at destination. Forwarding services use US Postal Service (USPS) to deliver to APO/FPO addresses, and USPS package tracking is not available to final destination.
Returns:
Please notify the Apple support agent that your return will initiate from an APO/FPO address. Please click here for the process.

I just registered for an account at the Apple website to purchase the iPad 2 when it is released. While you are filling out the delivery details, there is an option to use a delivery company instead.
The way this works is that it works as a forwarding address. Since Apple only delivers in the US, it gets delivered to the forwarding company who then sends it to you. It may take about 2 weeks- but its worth it. This is so that you avoid paying the premium prices.
At the moment, the iPad 1 is on sale at around QAR3,500. On the Apple website, you can buy it for $400-$500 (less than QAR 2000!!!!) Including the shipping costs, you will only pay a little over QAR2,000.
Therefore, I am certain you can do the same with the laptop.
Expatgeezer, check it on Amazon... Surely you will find it there....
Smoke what about Ebay? or Apple online stores?
No where....not yet...we have to wait a while till it comes.
Thanks for the info. Now where in Doha will I get my hands on this?
