Mashreq Bank poor service
Dear friends, I am visiting almost every altarnative day to Mashreq Bank since March, 6th 2014 to cancel my existing platinum Credit card and also lodged the writen complaint, I have a copy of that with bannks received stamp. Now the Bank employee is saying you have pay all the outstanding, I dont have any outstanding excepth the annual fees of the credit card QAR. 500/- Earlear I had Gold card which has been upgraded to platinum without any fees for the first year, now for the second year they have deducted QAR. 500/- from my account without my permission, I have been requesting them to camcel the card, they are repeating the same to pay the out standing thats what the fees, Now I dont want the Credit card they must reverse that 500/- back to my Acount and cancel the card, Masreq employees are not at all cooperating and they are least bother about the costumers time and stress. This one of the worst Bank I ever seen in Qatar the bracnh location is C ring road.
How about the its Collections Dept? Did anyone had a very cruel encounter with one of it's personnels? I have a friend that was called in by a certain Mr. J from this department regarding a payment that wasnt paid full for this month, he wasnt aware of this until he opened his account online, but before that, my poor friend was shouted at, harassed and threatened that the case will be submitted to the legal dept for not completely paid the balance... such a traumatic experience over the phone... he always pay diligently, been a genuine client for years, and that 2k balance which was delayed all robbed him of his dignity... what a cruel world, ... tsk tsk tsk

Thanks for your love and affection, I have complained on there web page, now they have reversed the fees....to achieve this I have visited the branch several times, I could able to visit becos, my off. is near by, any way friends All is well that ends well , have a great day ahead.....l
Have you tried complaining at the Qatar central bank?
Guru .. if you paid the QAR.500 as a renewal fee, it will not be reversed. If they want the QAR.500 riyals and it was suppose to be a free first year with no charges then the only place you should seek help in is the Credit Bureau in C-Ring Road (next to Masraf Al Rayan, Jazeera Cinema Traffic Light)
