McCain's final speech

Did anyone hear McCain's final speech as he gave in to President Obama?

I am just wondering your thoughts and opinions on the content...

He congratulated Obama and asked all his supporters to support Obama in his Job of Change as now he is our president, he said that he got the privilege to call and congratulate Obama for his victory.

Being a good politician, he did what he had to.

I thought it was a very gracious speech and showed the kind of man John McCain really is. We didn't see much of him during the campaign, unfortunately. The campaign process is all about show business and McCain isn't a show business type.

I didn't feel he was implying that Obama won because of race. I thought he seemed moved when he spoke of the historical significance.

i used to respect him.

one gracious speech does not undo the last several months. i know they have to go negative to a certain degree, and obama did that too, but mccain's camp went too far. a particular low point for me was the ad suggesting that obama wanted to introduce sex education to kindergarten.

and of course there was choosing Palin as VP- WTF?

his service to his country is undeniable, but the last 6 months were a huge disappointment for me.

I think it was the most gracious, honourable and sincere speech I have ever heard by a defeated presedential candidate. Congrats to John McCain who showed just what kind of man he really is in his speech tonight.

I watched it was good.

Overlook, I agree with you - a great speech by a great man who lost because of GWB.

Well at the beginning of the speech, it was all about race, and there was the slight impression that Obama was elected because of it.

I wanted to know what others thought and if they heard that as well.
