Milk lost in translation...

At home I had:
- full milk.
- semi.
- skimmed.

I dont like full milk, and skimmed is like water, so normally I buy semi.

Where is semi in Doha? I cant find!
Full, no-fat and skimmed!

Which one is the "semi". Maybe Im lost in translation?

The green one here is usually laban, the light blue one is skimmed, red is semi skimmed, blue is full fat, and the gold one is double cream.

Skim is also green in Canada, 2% is blue and whole milk is red ...

Red top has 1-1.5% fat depending on the brand. That makes it semi-skimmed surely (~half of full fat, which has 3% fat).

Skimmed would be like 0.1% fat.

tallg OK why is it no green top here.. Now I accidentally bought a green top bottle. Only to realise when I got home that it was that labney thingy.

In Qatar, as in the UK, semi-skimmed (or low fat as it's sometimes called) has a red top.

It looks like it depends on the country

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milk_bottle_top

I remember semi-skimmed was green in Spain.

Red is full cream in most countries.

Can't read labels? While in the supermarket, you can drink the milk to check if it's full, semi, etc.. and pay after for all of it :D

It's listed as either 2% or "low fat" milk.
