Hi All
I am trying for the past week to connect my Nokia E65 to the DSL in my home but every time I receive an error message relating to gateway. The DSL is accessed by the computer with a username and password and it is wireless. The problem is that I could not find a field in the phone to enter the username and password. I expect to find some one with a similar experience or some tech savvy person here. Thnak you

your current sim wont support that.

for that you need to go to Qtel in Al Sadd. ask them for a small modem that comes with separate simcard the sim is fixed in that mini modem and you connect it to ur PC or Laptop (USB) and then surf.

Hi

We dont have internet connection at our accommodation at Ras Laffan Industrial City.

I want to access the internet in my laptop using my N70 as a modem. Can someone tell me how to go about it? I am a postpaid subscriber of Qtel but have not yet subscribe to mobinet. (20 QR/month with free 2MB)

If I just use yahoo messenger to chat and not browse any web page, how much with Qtel charge me?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Make sure you do not use any existing WLAN connection, create a new one with the

details below

-> Goto Menu->Settings->Connection->Access points

-> Goto Options and Select "New access point"

-> For Connection Name enter the name you would like the WLAN connection to be

known as on your phone – This is not the same as the SSID

-> For Data Bearer choose "Wireless LAN"

-> For "WLAN Network Name" enter the SSID (Make sure you match the case on your

router)

-> For "Network Status" choose Public

-> For "WLAN Network Mode" choose Infrastructure

* * * *Optional - If Security mode enabled on RG* * * *

-> For "WLAN security mode" choose WEP

-> Click on WLAN Security settings

WEP Key in use - choose number 1

Authentication type - choose shared

WEP Key settings

WEP encryption - choose 128 bits or

Whatever it is set to on your router

WEP key format - choose hexadecimal or

Whatever it is set to on your router

WEP key - enter WEP key

Homepage - this isn't important

Configuring static IP Address for your N95 mobile

-> Goto Menu->Settings->Connection->Access points-> “New created access point”

-> Goto Options and Select "Advanced settings"

-> Goto IPv4 settings

Enter the ip address from range 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.254

eg: 192.168.1.100 (Should not conflict with our PC or Laptop ip address)

Enter the Sunnet mask "255.255.255.0"

Enter the Default gateway "192.168.1.1"

Enter the DNS Address

Primary DNS address "212.77.192.59"

Secondary DNS address "212.77.192.60"

Select "OK"

Once you have completed this configuration you should then be able to choose how you

wish to browse the net - either by GPRS for example or WiFi.

Hi,

I have E60, which is basically the same phone as E65, but in uglier case so it should work in the same way.

All you need is either go to Tools->Settings->Connection->Access points and manually create an access point for your network (SSID, security, passphrase, user name, pwd etc. depending on your network settings) or, which is the easy way, install WLAN Wizard application, which will help you to find and configure the wi-fi connection. You can download it from Nokia page for your phone.

you need a wifi application on ur cell phone. the way you are trying to get ur dsl connected wont work for which i think u are using a nokia connectivity cable. i never works that way. try downloading hotspot finder application and use that.
