Mother arrested for taking daughter's Exam
Tiger Mom?
So, have you ever cheated in exams and what ingenious method did you use ?
---------------------------------------------------
A 52-year-old mother who 'dressed like a teenager' to sit her daughter's end of term English exam has been arrested in France.
The middle-aged woman wore low-waisted skinny jeans and Converse shoes to sit the English language baccalaureate in Paris.
But a sharp-eyed invigilator who had seen the 19-year-old daughter taking her philosophy paper a week earlier realised the woman was an imposter and called police.
She was arrested when the exam ended so as not to disturb other students taking the paper this week, a Paris police spokesman said.
'She was held briefly in custody and freely admitted what she had done. She said she was better at English than her daughter.'
The mother now faced fraud charges and a fine of up to £7,000.
The daughter faced being banned from taking all public exams for five years, police said.
Done in love, but actually teaching her daughter to flee when threatened. She should have spent more effort in teaching her daughter English.
I would let her off if she agrees to her daughter taking the exam by herself. I mean, one chance should be granted.
Exams in engineering have mostly applied math in almost all subjects. They required a bit of narrative and finally solutions to real-life problems/case studies. While the text was known to everyone, we feared we could go wrong in calculations and got a wrong answer.
To ensure that all answers were correct, we used to form groups and compared the final numerical answers. If all got the same answer, meant we were all correct...and if one of us got a different answer, he would do it again.
Slap her she is ...
She is very stupid, she thought that nobody will notice her 52 years!
For me, Once upon a time i was in the Med-term exam for the "3D Engineering Drawing", my FAV. subject and i was good at it, there were students in the hall doing the exam before us, when they finished, they let us in, i found the solution for the exam in the desktop (from the student who was before), before the Supervisor take the file i copied it somewhere, the exam was the same, but i forgot to change the file date, Our Instructor was smart enough to look at the dates !!!
It cost me money and time, cause when the results came it was an "F", he told me, i don't forgive cheating.
The next time i got "A+" by myself :O)
Lol at her courage... I am not sure they will allow her daughter to write exam again. :)
Poor lady fallen for her love to her daughter. Might be she has taken this extreme step just to see she is through. My heart goes for here innocence that she thought less about the breach in law she is making. There are many who are limited by their brain and we all end up supporting them somewhere in our life . . . why blame others to show our superiority
future worried parent's failed attempt ...
called mother / daughter team work ...
The punishment is designed to send a message. Would you let her off ?
is too high and ban is too long ..
And now she has not only brought disrepute upon herself and her daughter, but has a criminal record to her name not to mention all but nearly destroying her daughter's opportunities to gain any academic success for years to come.
My mom, AlHamdulillah may God bless her, instilled deeply into our psyche from childhood that cheating in exams was a truly despicable act, hence despite having ample chances to do so, I never resorted to such acts at any major examinations.
