Nissan Sunny 2007

Hello,
I need help from you guys in choosing my car. I have found a Nissan Sunny 2007 model somewhere (almost brand new) for QR 43000. I was inclined to buy it yesterday, but someone told me today that Sunny's market value has dropped after 2005 since the time it has been manufactured in Korea, and there are some problems. Can somebody knowledgeable about this elaborate about it more: is it true, is the cost right, what will be resale value after 2 years, etc.
Thank you

Forget the Sunny. It is made in Korea but not too much of an issue. The Tiida is a newer design (albeit with renault design cues), it is better to drive, very spacious and with wonderful materials used in the insides - the sunny is plain jane, the tiida looks like Audi Quality and design, good value for money, more power (the new sunny does not come with the 1.8 engine) and finally 2 years down the line you'd get more buyers for your tiida than your sunny.

The a quite a few second hand nissan tiida's floating around for around 35,000 + QR (2006 model)

Have fun

Hello there,

Its is true that Nissan Sunny has lost its market value after it has started its Manufacturing in Korea. But from what I understand and know that the car is just being Manufactured in Korea, but all the parts, components are still made in Japan. Its the same principle that Camry was made in Australia, Nissan Altima - Armada from USA, and now Land Cruiser coming from Thailand.

As you know that most of us still believe that anything that is made in JAPAN is durable in all aspects of Quality, so we will not think beyond this point. Because of this reason you will see that Nissan TIDA is doing better and is more expensive as the car is made in Japan.

Nissan Sunny lost its position in the market mainly because it is made in Korea, but trust me the car is still doing better in the market, lots of buyers and is economical in price as well. Also the new Nissan Sunny is slightly larger than the old one.

But then again, you will have people who talk both the positive & negative aspects of cars here in Doha. If you can spend about 43,000 QRS i would suggest that you still buy a new car.

Anyway good luck my friend..

Best Regards
