nicaq25 - its done actually, and I don't actually mean it to give my opinion, although all media is biased even it tries not to be. (In any bias I had in the past it was in favour of Obama - see The Obama Effect on the Middle East) Why don't you look and make your own mind up:

so, you are planning to do a movie for Obama? I mean consolidating the reactions of people in Qatar? or only in QL? If that's the case, I suggest you should be open-minded on all the comments or opinions of people giving you from this forum. Not to argue or debate with it. But rather to be rational of your judgment. Right?

I find that despiccable, selfish, self centered, ill informed...and so on ans so forth...the manner in which those people represent THEIR country is...how shall I say...pathetic.

Thanks Alexa. Wasn't particularly aware that I was representing my county, actually, just wanted to make a movie about what people in Qatar thought about the inauguration!

Because I get so exasperated reading all the narcissistic posts when it comes to Obama, it is best that I just agree with PM and Alexa.

I will have to add, like I have posted numerous times, that change will not come overnight. Americans, more than people from other parts of the world, are patiently awaiting for positive results. The rest of you are just going to have to be MORE patient.

Ohh PM, you never cease to entertain me...

Maybe it could be considered lazy but i think I will hold tightly to optamistic hope and see what happens rather than exhaust myself trying to predict. So far I am re-assured by the amount of inative but real action takes time. I will watch close, keep in touch, keep my options open, and leave my curiosity to seeing what QL'er think of it all.

Some Qatar residents think he has the power and will to bring about change.

I think a lot more of Obama than I do of our own Prime Minister!

As for the movie, it could have been a lot more negative. I put in the quote which was most positive:

"To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward based on mutual interest and respect..."

why people like you think Obama is acting on your behalf? He is the American president in the same way the Emir governs Qatar and your country is governed by Parliament.

The leader of the US, to a much greater extent than the leader of Qatar or the UK, has the power to change the world - for the better or for the worse. Just because we have no say in the election of this person who affects our live so much does not mean that we can't or shouldn't take an interest in his actions.

what would you want Obama to do? He was silent because he wanted to get elected....

And after he was elected, prior to his inaugration.

Qatar, before he was president there was Bush... what would you want Obama to do? He was silent because he wanted to get elected....

I was watching John Stuart the other night, what a riot, he was commenting on all the pics of Bush that Fox news was showing during the inauguration.... Stuart Said..."If you love an administration, set it free. If it comes back... WERE ALL MOVING TO CANADA!!"

you have been patient with Bush for 8 years, surely you can wait for Obama's strategy to work within 8 days or so?

Yes, but it was his silence before he became President that was worrying. I still hope he will make a difference, though.

Qatar... he hasnt been silent on the Gaza topic, he has ordered all the border points be opened... As there is currently a ceasefire and a UN investigation I am sure he will remain cautious for a bit.

True Qatar Guest... if they elected a monkey in a suit who made his decisions by random multiple choice selections it would have to be better than Bush.
