Since when are tattoos illegal in Qatar. I know many Muslims and Arabs and they have never said that to me - in fact they all want to know where they can get one.
Stupid to remove my last post I think!!

temporary tattoos are normal here. muslim girls are having temporary tattoos which is called mehndi only on hand. i did not hear any one making tattoos here but i have seen who already have it but only on the parts of the body which can be showed off i.e. hands.

some parts of the body is not allowed to show even it has tattoos.

It is OK to HAVE a tattoo, but it is illegal to make them here.

By Amoud• 22 Aug 2009 12:01

Having them is fine but any business in Qatar needs a company registration, and perhpaps tattoo parlour is an illegal operation here.... having the tatoos themselves is not.

Perhaps the mods are just trying to protect the few people in Qatar who do them? Posting their numbers and such on QL would surely cause a hassle? Just a thought.

islam/christian and jews religions forbid tattoos. deuterome 19:22 or 23 if i'm not wrong.

specialy the permanent ones, and for muslim men.

but i never heard they were illegal in qatar.

Oh, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. 14% of people know that.
