The Pearl Qatar

Would anybody be able to share some thoughts on the Pearl which is being constructed? Quotes for land on which to build a fairly large villa seem relatively expensive and am wondering if they are worth the risk with regard to the land retaining its value and if the project is expected to be a big success as are the palms in Dubai?

Thank you.

Thank you for your comments. It would be as a place to live whilst I worked in Qatar (5 years). Being quoted 6 million QAR just for the land! (the land is for a beach front house though)

Would anyone happen to know what I might expect to pay to have the house actually built (labour and materials)?

Believ me it will be a big success as palm island, and that is coming from a doughter of an architect :) ... personally i like more the idea of the Nautilus island that they have in plan right next to it.....working there? why not! but living , i don't think so... anyway that's just me .... bottom line GO FOR IT!

hi

I personally think that the prices are a bit overrated at the pearl at the moment. But whichever way you decide keep in mind that its built on reclaimed land.
