People, beware of Trans Fats!
I can assure you that Trans Fats can be found in most types of processed food. The biggest problem is that you will eat Trans fat without knowing that you are eating very harmful fats. You can consume them while you are eating some biscuits or chips or even drinking your cappuccino.
I hear many people saying: “I don’t eat fatty food, I am still young, why do I have high cholesterol?”
One of the reasons could be trans fats
Just try to google “trans fats” to know how dangerous they are.
Check the food ingredients and search for:
hydrogenated * oil
partly hydrogenated * oil
margarine
shortening
all those are actually trans fats
be safe :-)
Good diet really helps! It is amazing how much time and energy (not to mention money) you're saving not having to visit a doctor :o)
I know exactly what you mean Fatimah about kids' obesity these days. I feel for them - life of an obese teenager is not easy!
Very amazing indeed...I too agree dietary education is a must. I am impressed that many schools here do take fitness seriously, having PE at least twice a week, morning light exercises,etc but feel equally aghast at the amount of unhealthy food sold and consumed at school canteens.Its hardly a surprise then that many youngsters are diagnosed with diabetes and cholesterol related ills today..not to mention soaring obesity levels among kids!

ohhh!, i need to jog more miles to burn this cholesterol,i used to jog only 0.2 miles a week,huh.

NO.... they do not teach the right stuff.
I am absolutely amazed by how little people seem to know about healthy diet... don't they teach these things at school anymore???
