a chocolate labrador back home, miss him terribly. but i think it's not good to bring a big dog like him to doha. the summers would be brutal. and i get to see him on skype almost every day.

Hey funny people,,,,Tanya 123 would like help offloading the pup. If one of you buy it, you could probably cross it with a Bull dog and the outcome would be the same thing that Jim Carey suggested in one of his movies! I do not live here permanently and would not be able to care for the poor thing.

Dont get me wrong, I love pets.

Eating beans is good for you,,,,,it makes you light on your feet and keeps people who(can)smell away!

There are plenty of pet lovers in Qatar. Why not join the Pets and Animals group on here and meet lots of like-minded people.

If you want to help out with animals whilst you stay in Qatar you can always come down to the QAWS shelter and meet all the animals we have there.

By the way Adam_N there aren't any nasty diseases for you to catch! Most of the strays in Qatar won't let you get close enought for that anyway!!

We have a black and white shihtzu (correct spelling?), but back in Australian we had a Persian cat. If you see a Westerner walking through West Bay (near Gulf Gardens and Al Jazi compounds that's me).

I have to say I prefer cats, and I've tried to pat some of the stray ones in the compound, but they all run naturally. Plus if they scratched me I'd get some horrible disease I guess.

I used to be a fishs lover, until i discovered they eat their dead friends.. I was shocked.. can you imagine? you are swimming with your friends in the same swimming pool, and then if you happened to get drown, they eat all of you, leaving just a skillet and a head... when i saw for the first time what did they do with my hard-working cleaner, who cleaned their environment really hard 24/7 (never seen him resting) , I vomited.... i cannot see such scenes.. it makes me physically sick.. We still have fishes, but i don't look after them, it's too frustrated and stressful... I love CATS though... even though these weird creatures also can eat their own new-born babies... Mother who just delivered her baby, swallows this baby on the spot!.. weird world…

But I still love cats.. they are most intelligent and mysterious pets…
