Plz define wht is meant by
(Sales and Marketing Executive)....please give me the definition of this, cause I have friends that also proclaim to have this title and they sales staff in shops and none of them have the power to do wht is indicated below.
Adjective
Having the power to put plans, actions, or laws into effect.
Noun
A person with senior managerial responsibility in a business organization.
Tht is the power of some1 who is an executive.
Now tht is a peeeeerrrrfect analogy.....My sentiments exactly
Tht is a interesting point tht u just brought to light however, wud b nice to know the origin of this conclusion...and no I am not doubting ur intelligence just gud to know
True true the customer or by wht ever name u wanna call them r the bees knees and the cats whiskers and yes i agree with u there. But it is more abt the title tht urks me and u have rectified by the over glorifying as u said...
Some1 tht actually thinks outside the box..
Domestic Engineer or Finance Minister, ect..ect... Just don't pick Guantanamo Bay Warden, else be sleeping outside the house from tonight onwards....
A job title is just what it is...a title. It does sound better and glorifying to add words like Executive, Engineer or Manager to some titles but the more important consideration is what they do or their job description. Example – Janitor – Sanitation Engineer or Facilitites Manager; Sales Clerk – Sales Manager/Executive; Masseuse – Massage Therapist; Window Cleaner – Vision Clearance Engineer. For that Sales and Marketing Executive title you are concerned about, that’s the trendy title given now to people in Sales (regardless of what they are selling).
here, mostly in the company the title of your jobs is not giving you assurance what you will do. It depends how you become effective chamcha (blood sucker) to you boss and superiors! then everything you do depends of your managers interest! Sale and Marketing Execution will be therE! hehehee
depends on where the word "executive" is placed
if its before another designation it becomes exclusive as in Chief Executive Officer
If it is placed after a designation.... as in Accounts executive or sales executive... it means "Staff" meaning account staff or sales staff... so counter sales are sales executives.
Over glorified to be precise. And I agree with you, a title should reflect on how the right person, with the right competency be placed into the right position.
My apologies if I used the word "customer" to specify someone who pays, it was meant to be used as a general term.
Forgive me if I'm wrong, but if I understand you correctly, you are an Executive in your company, and your customer/ client is the board of directors/ share holders, or someone whom you report to. Don't you feel you must make them feel more appreciated?
But reffering your earlier question:
"I have friends that also proclaim to have this title and they sales staff in shops".
At the end of the day, you must realize that a repeating customer is more valuable then a one time off customer.
Now is tht not misuse of the english language to glorify something that never is, like using acronyms and ppl don't know what they mean????Y wud I wanna make a client feel more appreciated????as it is my work title and I expect to get paid accordingly and hence u have ppl in positions tht they no able to fullfil cause of a title????
Now tht is a response I expected from some1 like u
It depends... in some country/region the title Executive is at a level near to the Director level, in other country Executive is slightly above supervisory level.
But in the sales and marketing sector, the reason why they tend to use "executive" is because it sound exclusive, it makes client feel more appreciated.
there is always a 3 months provision in any new comer employees, in this period you will know your job if it is in accordance with your contract..take it when you like & leave it when you dont. dont post it & blaming for somebody.
lol pixie :P
Why are you bothered with your friends job title? Can't you mind your own business?
