Qatar submitted the largest flag to the Guinness World Records authorities yesterday under the auspices of Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation - and Brooq Qatari Magazine.
Named the Fidelity & Loyalty Flag, the Qatar National Flag measures 509m in length, 200m in width and has a total size of 1,018sqm.

Crafted from high-quality canvas to the exact dimensions, the flag was presented to Talal Omar, Middle East director of the Guinness World Records (adjudicator), by Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, Katara general manager, and Moqim al-Hajiri, executive director of the Fidelity & Loyalty Flag campaign.

Addressing a press conference, Dr al-Sulaiti described the campaign as a national initiative expressing loyalty and belonging to Qatar, apart from love and gratitude to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani.

The Director of Guinness Book of World Records, Middle East, Talal Omar said, Since May 27, 2013, Romania has been holding the current record of the World's largest flag drape'. It is a flag with a dimension of 349 metres by 226 metres having used 44 miles of thread to stitch it.

There are no hidden facts, Ganesh lied, recruitment agency lied and after his time expired now why do they tell he was 16..

I have been involved with Human Trafficking as volunteer and they try their best to tackle these issues.

Most of the mistakes are done by their own country people..

I agree NOC, Exit Permits , minimum wage system should be reformed but other trafficking issues are having their home office in other countries..

Exit Permit has a good reason - It is for the central bank security but employers misused it..

NOC has no good reason..

Boxbe, Qatar has nothing to do with Ganesh , as the local nepali recruitment agents lied to Qatari Government by issuing a fake passport.. and local means dont misunderstand it as Qatari Local.. it is local agency in nepal.

The same applies to Indian Recruitment agencies.. they lie..they make some money and poor suffers..

Qatar has already took some good measures to deal with these illegal recruitments but still they find a way..

Do you want Qatar to have their civil defence working in other countries as well? It is good to have sympathy but it should not be blamed on someone who is not responsible. We should first the root cause of a problem.

Don't take every thread into the same direction.

We all know, there are problems. Just give a little space for goodness sake. :)
