Question about annual air ticket
Hi All.
Thanks for an informative forum......
Regarding the Air Tickets that your employer has to give you annually....
Must it be back home, or can it be to somewhere else. The reason I ask is cause if I step foot in my country within a year of leaving, all my income will be taxable in at home, and that would be a distaster.
Thanks
DL
Some companies do give cash in lieu of tickets I believe but as someone else stated there are travel agents who will swap the tickets (for a charge).
your employer only provides you ticket once per year to your home conutry, but try to negociate to get in it cash as compensation, or during your first year travel on your expense and negociate with your boss to use your company provided ticket the coming year, but i think the best thing is to get the value money in cash.
With our situation, yes, it must be from the city we left from back home. With that said, I know of several people who got their ticket from the travel agent and then sold it back and went where ever they wanted. It doesn't seem to be difficult.
