I miss wearing my Dad's plaid shirts and cords. Having crazy bleached blond, then red, then purple hair. 6 piercings in each ear, a nose ring and getting my tattoos. Being angst ridden and depressed was cool.

Omg just yesterday I downloaded an album "100 best dance songs from the 90's" and I was unbelievably excited over it (it was kind of sad at how excited i was over songs lol), anyways it was all those oldies that we barely here anymore like:

Please don't go - KWS

What is love - Haddaway

Missing - Everything but a girl

Scatman - Scatman John

Children - Robert Miles

Be My Lover - La Bouche

And the list goes on and on, I rememeber listening to all these as a kid, any of u remember them ? what songs do u guys remember from the 90's ? Let's go down memory lane :-)

I miss the cartoons from the 90's, they were so simple and yet we laughed so hard...ahhh...the good ole days.

But I don't miss the bad hair styles and weird fashion !!

learnt abbreviations such as

gtg- got to go

Don't know how many times I've watched it (I must know the lines better than Swayze & Demi by now).. & I cry everytime, lol. Same with Braveheart, Toy Story, Goodfellas, & many others. As a kid, loved watching "Are you afraid of the dark", which came on TV after school.

Trainspotting, Pulp Fiction and all that heroin chic. Early 90's AIDS activism, the gay rights movement, Sarajevo, Somolia, Gulf War Number 1, George Bush senior, Clinton, the dawn of gangsta rap. Friends! Seinfeld!

I could go on and on.

SurfAlot.

I mean the neon colours. (I do not know what it is called in English.) They are very bright pink, green etc. Glow in the dark-kind of colours.

People wore clothes in those colours! And everything else. :)

littlemissme: Are you indicating that eating chocolate for breakfast is not acceptable anymore? ;)Damn.

Think Blair witch was '99, cos I was in my final year at uni, tho it could have been v early 2000.

Things I miss from the 90's? You mean apart from my teenage years???

Britpop, Cool Britannia (sad I know), my teenage metabolism (chocolate was an acceptable breakfast), Taboo and lemonade, being able to go out and not worry that I'd left my mobile at home, cos hardly anyone had one! Alcopops.

Sure there are loads more but between alcopops and the very loud dance music, its all a bit hazy!!

Uj! Grunge, yes. Remember the funny hats, army boots and big sweaters.

Not to forget Faith no More, Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes), Faithless(Still going strong!), NIN, Soundgarden.... When did Massive Attack have their brakethrough?

And was it not in the 90`ies piercings got mainstream? Yuck, and the backsidetatooes (Just above the waistline).

And the plateau boots in the beginning of the 90`ies. Darn, that was ugly....

In the end-nineties the fashion of the 80`ies came back. The ugly part of it, though. :) (I hope neon will never come back)

Gosh, the 90ies seem so far away already...

I almost forgot: The hysteria about year 2000 to come. Oh yes, the microwave will explode new years eve 1999!

Blair witch project wasn't the 90's, wasn't that the early 2000's. Can't remember.

I'll always remember Grunge! Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Red Hot Chilli Peppers (Bloodsugarsexmajic, the best album).

The internet was cool and exciting, only really big geeks could download music, Napstar!

Only rich people had cell phones and they were the size of a loaf of bread.
