Now all three have been sentanced to jail will they now be banned for life in all forms of cricket?
Their actions have forever damaged the games reputation.

John Lalay - it does not do any harm to stay informed. Well my ancestors may have been picking coconuts in south asia in their prime but have moved on. Just grateful they did not stop by or get to your place.

Yes all Indians are poor...every citizen earns not more than equivalent of QR10 a day!!!!.... what a pathetic arguement...looks like your brain has gone for a walk...comeback again when it is back home and we can discuss cricket...BTW just for starters, while it returns, ever heard of endorsement money.... start googling and see how many company products each one of them endorses...Duh...shoot India or Indians but get your weapons right..no one gonna be shot by a water gun kids play with on holi (google it also if you don't know)

Its not only about cricket.. Few months back Korean football federation banned 11 players who are involved in fixing. And also few members of fifa are caught & dismissed because of corruption (everyone's knows that).. Then why only cricket...? & this is not the first time, in past 3 indian players are also banned coz of same reasons (M. Azar Ud Din, Ajay Sharma & Ajay Jadeja)...

Beside this can anyone plz tell me that how indian players bought luxury cars like (Ferrari of sachin, bentley of sehwag & hummer of harbajan).. Whereas india is one of the poor country of the world?

Well GOJ, if this is the first time, U've shown ur keen interest for particular countries with different angles when it comes to cricket?

Any special reason???

Thats to bad. I suppose you are aware that this little distractions makes cricket or any other game for that matter more interesting even a long time after the game is over and done with.

Good old Joe

being a diehardfan of cricket (though hard to believe someone from Scandinavian penisula, has deep interest in such boring game), must be aware that fixing in any kind of game around the world is not legalized anywhere.

riaz_ak - You seem to know it all so well. As you have suggested India seems to be the HQ that makes the cricket world go around including bribing and buying Australian and pakistani players and keeping the Lankan board well fed to keep their mouth shut. Looks like the Indian cricket board is subsidizing the other cricket boards and their players too.

Good for the three and a right decision to show them jail.

PS: Adey, they were not only the three who spoiled the image of cric for the first time, many did it in past.

The problem is not with the players problem is with the ICC.. Why they are still quite when Mazhar Majeed (Bookie) told to the court that "Aussie players are the biggest match fixers in the world & India is the head quarter of bookies.. Few months back Srilankan Cricket Board put allegations on Suresh Raina (Indian Player) that they are doubt about him & he is involved in match fixing but ICC did not take any action against him.. The reason is because of Haroon Lorgat...

I hope this sentence serves as a deterrent to all the corrupt cricketers of other countries as well.

A step in the right direction. I doubt however that this will stop it completely. Too much money involved.

The games name has long been damaged by the stories of Azharrudin, Jadeja (India), Hansie Cronje (SA) and many others...it took them behind the bars this time...I have lost interest in it long long ago as never am sure whether the winning team actually won and the losing team actually lost. I hear now there are murmurs that even umpires are involved in some cases.

Shot in the arm for prison cricket league in the UK though!!! I hope they spread the 3 of them around so that no one prison gets an unfair advantage.

But on a serious note ...good riddance to bad rubbish.
