I didn't know that. Ok. You can still get haggis here, though, right? I remember someone telling me about it recently but I don't remember who...

Ya wee sasanach you.. :O)

Yes, Haggis is often eaten in a Scottish breakfast along with Kippers...

Is haggis a breakfast food? I've only ever had it for dinner...

That was scientific, ES. If there is a right, then there must be a left, too.

Leave the funny stuff to me LP, you stick with scientific explanations......

JGC Sandwich Cellar? Where is that?

Ric's is crap. Try JGC Sandwhich cellar, they do a good approximation to a full english but alas with no pork.... its just down the road from Rics.

Its hard to get a seat in Rics as well as the Americans take up 3 seats each....

Not legally. Although people do smuggle them in their luggage.

By Globe-traveller• 10 Jul 2010 12:23

ouch, thats harsh....I will try Ric's, lets see what they got.

heard you can get pork products from Dubai ?

Well, you aren't going to be able to find pork products at restaurants here. Also, no black pudding. The closest approximation I've found is available at Ric's Kountry Kitchen over by Sana'a Roundabout. Or you could befriend someone with access to the pork black market and make it at home....
