Selling Gold in Qatar

I want to sell some gold in gold market but unfortunately I don't have any receipt. I have been told that I have to take some clearance certificate from police in order to sell this. Please inform whether this certificate can be taken from any police station or there are some dedicated police stations for this purpose?

There is a gold souq in souq wakif where u will find a police counter .
