Should be concerned about the earthquake?

I was up last night and didn't feel anything. But when I got to work one of my co-workers told me about it. And I'm a little freaked out right now. To the point I want to now leave the country.

I mean it's a good thing nothing was damaged and all. But do you think the big one could follow behind the tremor we had last night?

My knowledge about earthquakes is not that great so any here who knows about them please share your thoughts.

What happened in Reading, PA in 1994?

The mild quake we got last night was on an even smaller scale than that.

I'm from Pennsylvania,US. We don't have natural disasters or anything. No earthquakes, no tornadoes. We get lots of snow during the winter and tropical storms during summer but that's about it.

It's strange , as I know there is no earthquake in the qatar vocabulary but it happened. it's possible that this will happen again anytime here. I hope qatar is ready if higher magnitude earthquake occur in the future.

Yes I felt it, it was for 3 - 5 seconds only and I burst in laugh when I felt it. It's nothing serious. I felt it becasue I live on an upper level floor and only those who felt it live on upper levels. Don;t leave the country for such a small issue. Its not a big deal...

Cheers

Relax the earthquake happened in pakistan ... it was felt in India and up to Dubai not here... i have read people talking about it but no ... dont worry about it ... this isnt a country with earthquakes ...

Afterall not knowing if you are from the UK but there was one there too a few weeks ago ... people didnt leave because of that ... it wasnt as big but these things are part of the earths movement ....

it didnt get to Qatar attt alll .... the aftershocks they are mentioning will be in the same location as the initial and we havent heard of them as such yet....

dont worry they were probably pulling your leg as they knew how you would react xx
