Should I come to Qatar

I have been given an offer and I am really worried -- I guess thats normal for making the move, every post I read is inviting and really shows that people are happy living in Qatar but making the move and selling the house here in Canada is a major step. Apprecaite one final push

My offer is around 16000 plus 10,000 housing is that good. I make good income here in Canada but I am tired of taxes and weather. let me know

THanks

Major cities, like NY, etc there are areas you would not go to, but here, security is very high so it is really very safe.

Thanks for your reply.

When you say quite safe I take it you mean the same as any major city. If you go to the wrong places you could find trouble.

I will have a look around the site for more information.

This question is asked various times throughout this site. Please read the various post here.

Appart from the Thursday night party, there is the "sight seeing at the Mall, City Centre" etc. And also socializing with company people. Again check the various post on this forum.

Qatar is quite safe.

the offer is more than good.. and it is even more that some of the qataris' income..

16000+10000=26000!

that is great.!

as for the taxes.. thats why most people come and live in qatar..

as for the weather... the temperature reaches 50° C.. i don't know if you will enjoy it..:).. but everywhere is well-prepared for the hot weather.. and you wont feel the hot sun.. unless you are at the beach..!

Welcome to Qatar..!!!!...:)

Folks there is nothing to be worried about. Just remeber to be courtious of the ppl and their culture and a little bit of sensitivity will go a long way.

The only two major problems I would really be worried about is, 1) The weather. It is extremely hot in Qatar and you need to get used to living in 40°C+ temps. 2) Accomdation, the rent is ridicoulsy expansive in Qatar.

But hey, zero taxes and patrol thats cheaper than water !!
