Govt. is working towards diversification of business from oil to non oil trade. However this diversion is slow paced as most of the small businesses are not able to have exclusive markets and warehouses where they could store their items and compete in the market to win some business.
A warehouse in the industrial area is generally available at rent of Qar. 50 000 per month and the shop at a rent of Qar. 20 000, which are clear Red lights for any small business to exist, live and work in the market.
Most of the small businesses are able to generate monthly profit of Qar. 25 000 only, as compared to the above noted expenses.

I wud agree with equin that small businesses should also be encouraged in the state and necessary actions should taken by authorities to provide there requirements in ordr to keep the economy stable and growth
That is not the plan, it is only because the relevant authorities are not aware of the gravity and disaster of this matter, and once they get to know it with 4D approach, they would quickly come out with the solutions.
The real estate owners of ware houses and shops are not allowing small businesses to live in the market. Artificial shortage of the new areas for warehouses and shops are the main reason, that is allowing the realtors to continue kicking the small businesses out of business.
