Killer wanted to see what shooting felt like
Former soldier Aaron Wilkinson, who was said to have been disappointed not to have fired a single shot while in Afghanistan, killed his landlady because he wanted to see what it was like to shoot someone, a court heard yesterday.
Wilkinson, 24, shot Judith Garnett, 52, in the chest at her game farm in Woodlesford, West Yorkshire. She was hit three times, with the first two shots fired from about 4ft, wounding her in the chest and grazing the side of her face. The third was fired into her head from very close range, possibly with the gun in contact with her skin, Bradford Crown Court was told.
