Some tips to save time at the airport

Every day millions of people fly across the world. Especially when living as an expat in a foreign land, airports and flights are unavoidable.

However, so are the delays and the rush that pile up when travelling. Hence, here are a few tips that could help you to have a leisurely flight with minimum delay or time wasted.

#- Always check in online. It just saves up a lot of time.

#- Keep your passport, boarding pass and the necessary documents in one place, so that you’ll know where exactly they are and could fish them out easily when requested.

#- Check the weight of your bags beforehand so that you would not waste time shifting things from one bag to the other at the airport.

#- Eat a meal at home before you leave for the airport and so you don’t have to hunt for a place to grab a bite at the airport.

#- Pack away everything else other than what you would need at the airport. Stow everything else away.

#- Wear slide-on shoes that you could remove easily at the security line. Also, do a quick mental review of everything you are wearing that you will need to remove (such as shoes, jewelry, watch, jacket), and what you have inside your carry-on bag that might need to be taken out (liquids, electronics).

#- Travelling with kids? Keep their favourite TV programme downloaded or their favourite toy in hand just in case you end up in a delay. Also, let them take a bathroom break just before boarding the plane.

Good post !!!

yes, doing web check-in or online check-in saves times !!!

Make sure dont carry any Paint,Gas,Batteries(for electronic wheel chair),chemical, portable oxygen and such hazardous items,if needed any one above call the airline before you shop them or plan to carry and give exact details to airline and take prior approval(if ok take it to airport), its too save a lot of time at airport. finally less luggage more comfort.

If you are on routine trip, make one or two small hand carry with only important stuff - rather making a big luggage. After landing & immigration- walk away with a smile.

Well before the departure time, make sure your exit permit is ready, keep a copy handy in case needed. Keep couple of Panadols, cough cyrup, chewing gums etc.,

Make sure the "carry on" is actually a carry on and does not weigh 20 kilos
