Traffic Crisis in Qatar Caused by Poor Petrol Distribution
There has been a deep concern among the public in Doha city about the unorganized distribution of petrol stations in the heart of the city which will lead to a kind of traffic crisis. Public is worried that the increasing traffic problem lately are mainly caused by this poor distribution of stations. According to AL Arab Newspaper some Doha citizens urged the authorities to take an immediate action to anticipate the problem before it gets much worse. As cited in the article, the people believe that there should be a new policy or law related to the refueling system and also licensing to ensure the stability and reduce the traffic crisis.
Unfair Distribution of Petrol Stations
Talking to AL Arab, Ali Al-Shammari pointed out that the reason why there is some traffic crisis in the city of Doha is mainly caused by the concentration of the petrol station down town. He expresses his idea that those stations should be relocated to more remote areas because the city becomes too much crowded with the people. It definitely causes traffic jams and moreover, the more stations located in the city, the more threatened the life of the people living in the area. They are exposed to fire, accidents and many others. Shammari also explained that this problem does not only happen in Doha city but also in the roads out of the city. He showed an example that one area on a specific road hosts up to four petrol stations while the others big roads connecting some big cities and taken by thousands of motorists have no stations at all. Shammary suggests that the government should create a new city plan to solve the problem.
Another citizen, Ahmad Abed also expresses his deep concern on this problem to “AL Arab” saying that “as fuel is the prominent thing in Qatar, the government should pay more attention on it. He said that particularly in Doha city, the government fails to make a good city plan and also the organization, and it causes problems in traffic”. He explained that the big number of people coming to Doha city for fuel makes the supply run out fast and when there is not enough fuel they have to wait for the next supply and it causes traffic jams. Big trucks carrying the fuel also make the jams even worse...

And his bald head could help as well, shine bright like a diamond :O)
You could get Rizks to ride in the boot and shine a torch on the solar panels..
Baseless assessment, and I would not exclude commercial interest in advocating of relocating the petrol stations.
In the US and other nations, the petrol station are inside highly populated cities such Chicago and New York and no one even thought that the traffic problems are related to petrol stations there.
mohdata, No I will use batteries, they charge during the day and consume during the night, and I might make it hybrid, Electric and Solar
Thelonius , Yes thelo, I said that simply, I didn't talk about the new design
looks like you only plan on driving during the day:-)
I'll put some solar plates on my car, No Petrol No Gas
Go green and be safe :O)
lol..just when you think you've heard it all; that hypothesis doesn't even begin to make sense
I was gong to convert my Pink Kia to run on LPG , but will wait now :O(
in that, but I believe the bigger issue of terrible traffic is caused by poor road design and an inability to plan for the future far enough in advance. I was there when they put all the roundabouts in West Bay. Sure, there was hardly any traffic then, but 10 years later they just have to bulldoze the roundabouts and put traffic signals. Any intelligent person would have done that the first time around. I could go on and on....just like doha traffic!
should not wait till the last drop in the fuel tank before refilling ....
enthusiasm ..
