Traffic Violation

By mode1_uk

I got a parking ticket yesterday and went on the MOI website to pay it. (300 QR).

Anyway, when I searched under the car Reg No. I have two others which are totally mind boggling:-

The first says: DRIVING A LOADED VEHICLE HIGHER THAN 42 METERS ABOVE THE ROAD (was I flying?)

The sceond say: LOADING A VEHICLE IN A WAY THAT CAUSES DANGER TO PEOPLE AND PROPERTIES

These to sound like the sort of offences that would apply to a truck/lorry?

How can I appeal against them. I only have Honda City!!

Any help much apreciated!

Also if it is a rental car, make sure the dates of the violations are after the date you got the car. Oasis tried to shaft that one on me a while ago, so i had to take a dump on them from an almighty hight. WAHPOW

I NEED TEA!

listen .. same thing happened to me before ...

the only mistake that happens is when they r entering on the system .. the violations are for a truck for sure .. the truck is having ur same number .. the mistake happened that the system by default give them the option private car ..

and they didn't change it to private transportation ...

Go to South khalifa traffic department.(Main office)

and complain about these violations ...

they will check it again .. and if it belongs to a truck they will remove it from u ...

As some already said, I confirm that the non-sense English translation is just a bad translation, since a few years ago and nobody has bothered (so Qatari) to correct it!

Always check the Arabic Version on moi website.....it shows accurate reason of penalty. The webmaster may not be able to translate everything into English...we have to adjust with that.

The loading/unloading a vehicle thingi is for over speeding for sure.

Write me OFF...at your own RISK....KK

agree with you fubar

mode1, better go to traffic dept. and sign language with them so you can confirm your violation

" LOADING A VEHICLE IN A WAY THAT CAUSES DANGER TO PEOPLE AND PROPERTIES " means speeding (seriously).

Not sure why it would be so hard to get the text to match the violation, but...

cars are "private vehicles" and trucks are "private transportation" or you may pay someone else's fines. If you plate is green then you are a truck. (or for you nitpickers out here...your vehicle is a truck.

It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and say the opposite

So can I appeal them? Will they have photo evidence?

Please can someone give me the website address to check traffic fines? I was not aware, one could view your violations and pay them on line?

Thanks

i had the same violation stated like that, 42 meters and sh*t but the real violation is not wearing seat belts, the cops just don't know how to translate it in english so they copy paste the wrong one...lol

I dont think I have ever stopped and let someone out?

The rental company have just phoned me and reckon the first one is speeding?

The loading unloading thing is quite common, usually referring to letting someone out on the street or a round-a-bout etc. As for the flying thing, lmao, that should be easy enough to argue with the traffic department
