UK licence and riding mororbikes here?
Hi, first time using this site. Can you help me with the following:
I have a UK licence that allows me to ride all motorbikes. When I get my Qatari driving licence - which I have applied for- will it have the same allowances, or will I need a separate licence for motorbikes?
I know that motorcyling is a contentious issue here. However, I am looking forward to riding a motorcyle here and exploring Qatar. Can anyone give me names of dealers that have a variety of motorcycles for sale.
From what I have seen so far on the roads and the comments I have read, motorcyling is getting a negative press. I hope some of us can change this!
You can try checking motorcycle reviews to help you find dealers. yamaha royal star
Thanks for the information. I've just received my Temporary Qatari Driving Licence. But it has not transferred by motorcyle codes. It looks like I will have to visit the police station to find out what the correct procedure is. I cannot risk riding illegally, even though every local who rides a motorbike rides illegally.
Your license here can indicate the class of vehicles you're allowed to drive. There's no separate license for bikes. Not sure if you have to take a test for the bike.
You have many choices for motorcycles; Harley Davidson, Kawasaki, Honda, KTM, Ducatti, BMW.
Riders are classified into 2 categories; the pests on superbikes and the enthusaists/aficionados (a minority).
Ride on!
