Urgent distress - lack of sleep, drilling noise

Police called on number of occasions to address the problem of landlord starting work at 06.30 in the morning even on fridays and saturdays with drilling hammering etc etc in bin mahmoud area

Quality of building looks good but in reality is awful, can hear the people above me sneezing.

Police won't do anything about it. can't get any sense out of the workers (no language spoken)

This has been going on for months. Landlord refuses to acknowledge problem exists.

Lack of sleep over prolonged period means all work and social life is suffering.

Landlord will take 2 months pay if I move which i think is unfair.

Any Suggestions are welcome.

A friend of ours in the early 80's had a similar problem.

He put sugar in the fuel tanks of the offending compressor overnight.

It got him a little respite

Sorry about your predicament…… but I don’t think he can legally deduct 2 months rent if you prematurely cease the rent contract as long as you give him a months notice ... BTW what does the contract says

I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here

Than a whole truck load when I'm gone
