Using bank to transfer money back home

hey all buddy, i wish to check with u guys anyone know about this?
I have attempt to send an amt of USD300 back to my home country using online banking and the actual amount that i receive over there is only USD275 only .They have already charged me QR40 as TT fees separately.
Anyone know where is this USD25 or 8.5% of the total amt send missing? the local idiot bank customer service seems don't understand what i m asking and can't answer my question.at all. They are real dump and rude.

Thanks for you guys replied :)

in fact i have already check with both end thru the phone

Qatar side: stress tht they have sent out USD300 + QR40 (charged separetely)

on Malaysia side: Also saying that there is no other charges aprt from RM5.00 receiving fees. They only receive USD275

Then who stole my USD25? If Wantok is correct they will only charge USD25.00 irregarless whatever amt u send .. i think it is worthwhile if i plan to send more...i still consider the missing USD25 is a myth..

Could it be anything to do with the interest rates?

I send money regularly and I get hit with 35 ryal at this end and $19 at the receiving end. But it is the same no matter how much I send. Unlike Western Union which the more you send the more you pay.

Next time do not transfer money via banks, they will charge you a % as service charges. Next time go to Alfardan ex-change and transfer money from there.

Thanks,

You probably got hit with two things, first a flat rate to send any amount (guessing that is the USD25) plus the QR40 fees.

Baldrick is probably correct you should make sure you are not getting it from both ends (both banks, I mean!!!). Good luck...
