Visa Status "under process"

@ shanoobmm: I landed yesterday in Qatar, went to Gharafa immigration office and captain updated something in system. Visa was still under process with visa number available. Today got Family visa. Thanks for your help.

Don't know anyone .. My visa is valid and i am inside country . I applied for my wife and kids.. This application is under process

I went one time two weeks ago, they told me to wait. Reason may be you are out of country in your case. Don't know about mine and application not yet rejected also.

@ shanoobmm: Did u went to Gharafa? I am outside Qatar, my resident visa is still under process. Then i applied for visit visa for my spouse and it got rejected with the reason “must provide a sponsor in Qatar” and i believe same is the reason that my family resident visa is under process.

@ shanoobmm Actually I didn’t knew that for me they asked for marriage certificate copy again. I was checking status only on Metrash2 visa follow up. Last Saturday when I opened location from where I had applied visa only then I came to know they requested Additional documents. Not sure how long they had requested. Uploaded marriage certificate on Thursday and still under process.

@basith There is a technical glitch in Moi website and metrash visa follow up status. In my case both were under process for my wife but when i checked metrash2 from where i applied visa. It was showing missing docs and required marriage certificate to be uploaded again. May be same for you, check status from where u applied visa.

My minor son's permanent Visa Status "under Process" can i leave the country before the status change to ready to print.?

I called Hukoomi customer care number ( 109) and they asked me to upload passport copies again . Status turned to again to "under process" in metrash app after the upload . Still waiting ...

I submitted through Metrash app . When i went to Gharafa Immigration office to submit application, they didn't accept. Now permanent visa can be applied through Metrash only . I am in private sector . PRO not involved .

@britexpat ...it 's a work visa and i dont have the right to ask for it only the company does (Qatar Airways)

There is no maximum.. All you can do is wait or visit the immigration office and check in person

@houssamy hello, I'm Lebanese too, i applied my work visa since 30 dec 2015, and it's still under process for 3 months.

The expiry date is for 6 months, and if nothing happened during these 6 months, we have to apply it one more time.

I'm from Tunisia; I got a job there, and my visa has been under process for 2 months -_- a colleague of mine got her visa in 1 week and she started working now. I asked a frnd there to consult someone in the immigration and passports.

I'm patient person but I can't stand this situation, they are just wasting my time. so I think I will change my plan and just stay here, my life is not miserable here, and I have many opportunities to improve my career.

But I wonder if I do that, will I be forbiddeen to get an other working visa again for 2 years?

My Case Is Complicated, I Lived For 20 Years In Qatar Under My Father's Sponsor Then When He Retired From Qatar Petroleum I Had To Leave Doha, And I Am Still At University, I Decided To Change My Sponsorship To Be Under A Company's Because If I Go Under The University's I Will Have To Leave Doha After I Finish Where I Cannot Transfer At All, So I Made A Bad Choice And Is To Be Under A Companies Sponsorship, And Here I Am Waiting For It To Get Ready, Next Tuesday It Will Be 2 Months And On 15th Of February I Start A New Semester But I Am In France At The Moment Not Knowing When I Will Be Back.

As I Said I Made A Very Bad Decision.

Unfortunately, nothing yet. I called the embassy of qatar and they informed me that there are lots of cases where applications passes the visa expiry dates with no decision. People/companies should re-submit applications for visa in such cases...((((

The application was submitted the 1st of November and the application was submitted by the company who offered me the job in qatar. I think it is an entry visa for RP.

It's not about people who will push it. I believe no one can since it is in CID, atleast thats what I've been told. And you should've applied for a family RP better than visit visa.

However Inshallah everything will be done soon.

Rayena, i'm from Moldova, and my wife's russian. I know that visas for russians were rejected in 99 % of cases, but in this case that's my wife and not a single tourist. I'm pretty sure there's no reason for them to not approve the visa, it's just the time that concerns me. It can be 1 month, as well as 6 months which is not acceptable for any kind of government branch, and this makes me really sad. I will keep hoping and searching for powerful people who can get things moving.

I just read a lot of scary stories, where people waited for 5 months before getting their visa approved and how the CID won't let the visa to be approved, and there's no way anything can be done. I hope my story is not one of these cases. I will probably start going to the immigration every day, and spam them with my requests. I know that the captain is able to make a call and find out what's happening, it's just not in his interest and no one cares there.

you see Alex when you go to the immigrations they tell you that it is with the CID, where no one can know how long it will take for them to release it. However it is all about the certificate of good conduct. In my case because I lived in Qatar for 20 years, It is hard to tell why they haven't approved it yet.

A certificate of Good Conduct ? I didn't know they do that. Where did you get this info ? And is there any way to ask them on what stage is the "under process" thing ?

About the immigration, i went there 5 times, saw the captain last week, told me to wait :/ But definitely will go there again to check on what's happening . Thank you!

How about you go to the immigrations and check with them.

Maybe it has been approved but not on the system yet because I know someone that had it done but never got a reply till they asked.

They work from 3Pm to 7Pm.

I am not sure what they wait for but probably they ask our countries for a Certificate of good conduct, and thats why it takes long. I really have no idea why they take all this time to review and process a paper.

A month is like 20 working days only they do not count the weekends at all. Some people get their visas before the expiry date by 4 days only while other lucky ones get it in 3 days or a week max.

Lets hope this week we get it.

No news, waiting and waiting, people from work say that the papers were approved by immigration but there's some approval waiting to be made by the police/ministry of interior. Didn't really get what was that about. I dont really understand what takes a whole month to do, to put a stamp or make a signature ... The waiting part and the fact that i can't do anything is really frustrating...

It's unbelievable how random the time of obtaining a visa is. Some people get it in 2 days(people i know), some other in 5, others - 4 months. The only thing i can do now, is wait, i suppose. Thank you.

Same here, RP visa "under process" since 1 month, went to immigration a thousand times, i heard only "wait 1 more day" or "wait one more week, inshallah". Went to the captain, he said that the police is handling final approval, and i'm pretty sure my visa request form is burried underneath a ton of other papers, which will not be handled soon.

Sometimes, i feel like the absence of any concrete information in any government procedure in Qatar is because paperwork is handled by paranormal forces and no one knows when things will be done. First time i gave the papers, they told me it will take 3-5 days for the visa. Now, 1 month later, my wife already left her previous job and waits for a visa, without knowing when she'll come. This stuff is getting me really frustrated, no one is able to say any useful info.

@houssamy do you a have a record in being in doha before? maybe that is the reason of delay. In my case I lived there for about 21 years and cancelled my family residency and now I am going back under work RP.

Anyhow nothing will change till next week if we are lucky ... you see national day is on Friday and the holiday started today.

First Status – Application Under Review

Once you submit the applcation in the counter, it will show the status as above

Second Status – Under Processing With Expiry Date

It means, your application is approved, need to wait for a day or couple of days to take print out

Third Status – Visa is ready, please pay the fees at the nearest Immigration office

It is the last status, where you can go and pay the fees and take the print out

Final Status – Printed and Delivered

Once you recieved the print out, it will be changed to the above status.

Application Is Rejected

If your application is rejected, you need to go to the counter and request for committee meeting.

Application is Postponed

Some documents maybe missing, you need to go and ask at the counter for the reason, after that you can submit the additional or missing requirements.

if your document is completed then is no interview as per requirement and depends the mood of immigration officer, interview means you didn't complete all requirements thats why it is taking time. However, under process means its approved and within couple of days you will get approval.

Don't worry, your visa will be approved. When I applied, initially the status was "under review" but later when it was changed to "under process" and within a day, it was changed to ready to print.
