Please could some one give me some advice. I am moving to Qatar in a fortnight. My parents are coming to join us a week later to help settle my daughter in whilst my husband and I start our new jobs. Do they need to organise a visa before they come? They are coming for just over 2 weeks. Any advice appreciated.

The visas thats available on arrival is normally valid for 14 days and renewable for another 14 days. After which they would have to exit the country and they can come back on a similar visa with same time frames. This used to be the law - but I suggest you reconfirm it as some of the laws keep changing.

And yeah - welcome to DOha!! As they say over here - "Ahlan wa Sahlan ! "

Shorti, we are talking about visas here you know??

Anyways, did you check out the Home Centre? I don't know about quality but they should have outdoors furniture there.

Hi shorti122, are you referring to a billiard table? If so and if you're interested in buying a 2nd-hand one, we are currently selling our >2 year old pool table complete with accessories..as we are moving to a new accommodation later on. In very good condition. You can come and see it for yourself as well. Pls. PM if interested.

If you are british then you will get a visa on arrival you dont have to apply for a visa before.

Make sure that they have any sort of card like VisaCard or MasterCard etc.so that they can pay the visa fees. They dont accept cash.

If you need any other info let me know.

No need to arrange for a visa then, just tell them to have a credit card ready for Qatari customs and they'll get a visa stamped on their passport on arrival
