West losing battle over Afghan poll fraud !

How much longer can we prop up a puppet preident ??

Widespread and systematic fraud during the Afghan presidential elections has tarnished the legitimacy of any future government and undermined the Nato campaign there, Western and Afghan officials have admitted.

There have been more than 2,500 complaints about the August 20 vote, 691 of them involving serious charges of vote rigging, meaning that they could affect the overall outcome of the election.

One international election observer, who asked not to be named, said: “The pattern is of systematic and widespread fraud, which really does call into question the legitimacy of the election. This is large scale and it is across the country.”

Ahmad Nader Nadery, head of the Afghan Free and Fair Election Foundation, said the scale of the vote rigging was serious. The fraud presents Washington with a dilemma: to back President Karzai, who is already seen as an unreliable partner,

US is going to tire of Afghanistan soon.

This is a "country" that cannot be centrally governed.

And sandeep yes just saw that film the hypocrisy and failed investment at the end quite telling.

I am vocal. I have written to the minister and in newspapers. Also, if you read the British papers, , more and more people are beginning to question our presence there.

Saw this movie Charlie wilson’s war sometime back, based on true story of Charlie wilson, the congressman who helped divert a lot of funding to Afghanistan during the 80s. Incredible that after sending billions of dollars for the war, they didn’t approve 5 million for constructing schools in Afghanistan as most of them got destroyed during the war. People having access to unlimited amount of weaponry and no access to education. Maybe some of the old timers remember what actually happened. No wonder Taliban became what it has..

those places and those people are the scourge of the earth,,,locked into a primitive lifecycle that is absolute the worst in the world,,,oppressive, backwards, inhumane,,,,and who won't come out of it ever,,,,not ever,,,it was our mistake to even think that they are even 1% human.

USA and their puppets did not go there to establish democracy.they have their own goals and to achive goals they need ruler who will support them.they tried to impose first one warlord who was in exile in dubai.failed. they tried massod and again failed now karzai is serving well for them. Karzai will there untill he is good servent, otherwise he will call back like musharaf and shortcut aziz. election is drama just to cheat world.oldest democracy took more then 200 years to bring obama and we dont know when woman president will come.

i think what curse.bush said is right, brit.

its our responsiblity, after all, being human being.

its really pathetic if we can't control our govt., at least, in some issues.

There are some people who are not to be trusted with power. Karzai got corrupted by power. He thinks he has the backing of the entire NATO forces. Can’t see him lasting an year once the NATO forces move out.

Americans will not leave till they clear the mess they themselves created. Till they dont move out, British soldiers are stuck with them. Democracy doesn't always work in all the countries. Cant see it working in Afghanistan.

There's no sense to helping a country who wants to be the same with Iran.

And in turn, in the future, the citizens will make a riot when they thought that having an Ahmedinejad-type of leader will make the Afghans also think their elections were totally rigged.

Same same.
