For ME!Cry

Had a car accident today along abuhamour rough road, this st**** driver was busy talking on his mobile w/ another 2 guys w/ him. They hitted my car from behind pretty enough to damage the bumper and its cover. And guess what? they want to negotiate w/ me to pay me some amount! I said NO! we need to call a police so i can get a police report, then i called the police and while waiting, i did not notice that they fled the scene and runaway and took all along their things from the car! i was left alone waiting for the police, obviously its not my mistake. In fact, it was my first time to personally encountered a car accident and Inshallah it will be the last time too.

Now, their car was taken by the pick-up police vehicle. And the police took my mobile number and will contact me when they found the owner of the car. Actually, i dont know what's wrong w/ that people, why they runaway and left their car, the driver have no licence? or is there anything hidden inside the car? And my concern is, who will fix my car now if the police couldn't find those people? ME??? My car is not fully insured, just incase those people are nowhere to find on earth, does my insurance take care of my car damages? :(

Please need your input....

Tnx in advance,

Apple

What the hell did they do? This is really bad. It is true that you lose your mind when you panic and there were 3 of them. Thanks for the advice apple and I hope that no one would do that to any of the other people.

Before a while i saw something near Toyota Tour traffic lights. When Land Cruiser driver was fighting with a Nissan Pick up because they were about to hit each others, but they did not so they start cursing each other and arguing and all of a sudden the Nissan could not take it anymore so hit the Land Cruiser by his car and sneak from behind him while the Land Cruiser driver was looking around for him and when he saw him running he speed up and start chasing him. What I did understand or can summarize this incident with is. Misunderstanding --> Argument --> Fight --> Crime Incident. It was like a movie, but it can happen also.

with Regards and I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding.

Care to know his car no.? 53574-Nissan, Model??? 19ago-ago, i dont want to mention his exact nationality not to sounds like racist, but he is from Pyramid, get me? They runaway and took a taxi, coz i park my car about 20 meters away from them to ease the congested traffic caused by the accident. I just want to warn you guys that it could happen to anyone of you.

"the runaway culprit"

Cheers!

It would be easier for the guys to run away in their car instead. Am i right? I'm sorry but i get confused if this is a real story or a lesson that you are trying to let other people learn. After these guys run away they can't disappear or evaporate unless they were cups of hot Carak :).

Hope that the Police would get them in the end while i don't know why should they get them.

I went to police traffic dept today morning, they tried to contact the guy several times but he doesnt(dont want to?) answer his mobile. The car still w/ the police, But...seems the owner/guy is no more interested w/ his car, hu hu hu the car is older than my mom, I'd rather been hit by a new cruiser at least. :(

According to the police, if they couldn't find him, they will submit a report to the CID dept. to look for him, i'll cross my finger!

Not a matter of money but the feeling of being cheated, Grrrrrrrr!

-Thank you guys for ur concern...

i hope it all goes well for you and they catch them. Angelo what a bad situation to be in, but i think i would have given them the money back to the old man living in the desert, if they were that poor. Is the boy still in Jail ? Isnt that a bit harsh do people think?

Too bad start of the day.

Insurance company will not pay you as this seems third party insurance only, but i think Police can catch owner in seconds. You have to follow for that

I empathize with you.

As long as you have a vehicle registration number, ie, the number plate the Police HAVE to catch the culprit.

It may take a day, a couple of days, a month or more, but they will catch them.

I had a similar experience at the cornishe, I was rear ended and the guy just said something in arabic and even though I tried to stop him, took off in his car...... I waited for the police, gave them his licence plate number and registed an accident. I visited the police station on a regular basis with one of my office guys (arab) so there is no mistake in translation.

When nothing happened after 3 months we went to the captain and informed him what happened, he summoned the police man who made the report.

In the end they caught the guy's father. The vehicle was registed in the father's name and they live in a tent in the desert. The vehicle had no insurance and the guy was behind bars in the Qatari army barracks.

I was given Qr.2,000/- to repair my rear light (Full assembly) denting and painting. I told the police this may not be enough as the car was not checked by a garage..... the response was.... just take it as the father is an old man and the son is in army jail with no insurance.

So the jist is... sooner or later the culprit will be caught, ....... how big is Qatar, anyway?

Thank the lord that you are safe.
