What behavior drives you crazy?

mallrat
By mallrat

These boils me to the max:

Loud cellphone users.
-I want to hear my friends, not your chat with your psychologist;(
.
People who keep coughing at a restaurant.
-If you are that sick, stay home.
.
Throwing money at cashiers.
-Handing things to people is a sign of respect.
.
Licking your fingers when eating.
-It's disgusting, really.
.
.
.
Your turn......

I hate it when people feel the need to "sample" items in the grocery store like juice, water, potato chips, etc. Then they put it back as if nothing happened.

I also hate it when restaurant employees handle food without wearing gloves.

seeing someone smoking under a no-smoking sign

All of us waiting at the signal to take a left turn when suddenly some Big one comes in parallels to us...in front and then ignoring everyone waiting on queue, zooming off to the left when the Signal turns green, giving us the impression that we are all Morons to follow the traffic rules?

Watching these poor laborers getting even poorer treatment in the hospitals where they are even frowned upon because they smell bad? Come on people, not everybody can afford a deodorant! I watched a guy crying with pain after his finger was cut off in an accident and they didn't even give him a brufen tablet? These guys are the real heroes of this Country, or are they really?

1.) when you are talking to someone who just screwed up and youre explaining to them politely(humanely) the right way to do it they will suddenly come back at you saying "I KNOW! I KNOW!". definitely pisses me off!. not only they got away with being screwed they learned from you at the same pissed you off.

2.) just because you are polite to them, they will think they are superior to you and starts treating you like SH*T. i could've strangled these people with a big smile on my face.

a golden rule in driving is to be visible and previsible which mean others must know ur here to avoid u: flashing, horn

and others must know ur intention (previsibility) so they drive accordingly (signal, wave ur hand if signal lights out of order, stay in one line, same speed...)

As already mentioned, when people take their maids out to restaurants, and have them sit ALONE at the table next to them while the family eat away, and she has nothing.

Also when people leave their phones ringing for ages before they answer, and it's always the people with the loudest ringtones.

Also, people who wander round the malls, with their kids running freely behind them, and they don't even look to check on them. I got on escalator at CC few weeks back, and this baby who was walking got on the escalator and I look for her mum, who just wandered in to a shop, this baby then started climbing the steps, and i had to grab her before she would tumble down and hurt herself! It wasnt till we got to the top that the mother realised, and i had to wave at her, and she barely gave an expression, and sent one of her other kids to come get the baby! Is it so hard to take care of your own baby ??

No, what MD said is true. Some of the behaviours Westerners consider rude are the norm or the acceptable thing to do eg. slurping and burping at the dinner table - China - shows your hosts that you are deeply appreciative of the feast he has given you, etc.etc.

So really, the key is respect other people and be flexible / adaptable. Doesn't mean you have to turn out like them, you can keep your own culture and your own sense of what you think is right / good manners but leave others to live the way they choose to.

I just dislike people who think that their way is the only right way, whether it be religious people or not. This is called pride and there is such a thing as spiritual pride as well.

There is a difference between being self confident and being arrogant. It happens even to nice people. Problem is the lack of self-awareness, basically egocentricity.

Ooops! Lunch break over! Ta!
