So ,people who run/own QL....obviously there are less and less people who post on QL.....I have not seen QL this bad in quality and quantity since I joined...a LONG time ago ;)
What you gonna do about it? Let it be run totally to the ground and fade away into cyberspace?

QL is already made, it will not fade away.

The big gap or difference in views is what makes other thinks that the other view or opposing views is tantamount to stupidity. Even in labeling fellow Qler, racism (deeply racism) do exist in QL!

Respect people, respect. That is what is needed now!

By soniya• 7 Oct 2010 13:00

So does it mean that only few QLers are capable to carry on the legacy of QL and rest are just USELESS TRASH CAN???

BTW sometimes a smile on a post in Funnies should be just fine...:)

Lol.. funny to see some great suggestions from people, who never chit chat, who never comment on love forums, who got never offended.wow

when a user continueously abuse a community its MODs job to stop it. If they dont do it they will deffntly be questioned.

By drmana• 7 Oct 2010 08:17

When we comment exactly what's going on, people take it as spreading negativity by commenting and advice to ignore. Better shut your mouth than comment truly as to what one feels. Only comments "FOR" the topic are welcomed these days. So much for being TRUTHFUL.

don't be ashame of ur romantic chit chat on QL, most of the time its hell of fun ;O)

who's next to confess?

By GodFather.• 7 Oct 2010 08:02
GodFather.

I blame all these loves threads. gets one distracted. Even some days I feel like a sentimental Pinoy..haha.

On a serious note. Been a long time when I posted or try to post an argument or counter argument to a discussion in a thread. Those days were when PM was around. Olive has also been off the site for a while and so you do not see the views from the other side. Some other good Qlers got banned for silly and harmless comments.

All we are left with QL at the moment the small group of people planning their events on the main forum and then discussing the aftermath. Can't remember any serious discussion for some time now.

We are all are to blame as we just using QL now for chatting including me which is Sad.

How can anything creative come out when people try to suppress other people's thought.... just because its not to their liking...

There are so many issues on QL that I personally feel are not fit to be discussed on this forum... but I dont whine like a baby...

When was the last time this person posted a thread?

The newbies would think ten times when people on the forum are critical of their every word.... there are some who even try to correct the grammar....

My long lasting thread 'So what's your point'has been deleted. een though it was not voilating any Community Guidelines. Maybe it was a threat to the National Security. It was the friendliest thread ever on QL.

nomerci... I wouldnt deny that...but then repeating it on every other thread stretches it a bit too far... moreover as is agreed by all if you dont like it dont read it ...there isnt any compulsion for that ... and to me it looks very childish.

Most QLers don't differentiate between the funnies and the other forums ..

By anonymous• 6 Oct 2010 23:15

brit I agree, sometimes I do get caught up in them and if you notice it's been going down in the past few months :P

But most of the times it's in funnies section, I avoid the chatter in main forum.

Yes nomerci sometimes it is necessary but everytime on every thread.. It doesn't stop with just the check your PM message, it goes.

1st user- xyz check your PM

2nd User- Why no PM for me

3rd user- Got it and replied

4th user- I want PM but it's AM

5th User-

.

.

.

. And so on, that's what pisses me off.

By nomerci• 6 Oct 2010 23:05

whyte, agree...except for the pm thing. If there is no notification for pms, there may be situations where "check your pm"is necessary.

By anonymous• 6 Oct 2010 23:03

To whomsoever it may concern

-We are not kids in kindergarten that we need to run to Mods every time something offends us. Even if you feel the need, go report it using contact links, don't post this message, "MODS WHERE ARE YOU" in forums, It is the most useless post ever.

-If you are easily offended then DON'T log on the internet, nobody can censor the entire world wide web to suit your sensibilities.

-There are dozens of groups here and different forums, please utilize those groups and if something is to the interest of only one group then post it there.

-Yahoo launched Messenger & MSN have developed chat a few years ago. QL is not the only place to send private messages, exchange the MSN ids with people you want to chat to. I will burst a blood vessel the next time I see the post, Please check your PM. That is the second most useless post ever.

I will post more as and when I think of them.

it by complying with deleting everything someone whinges about? They are supposed to be in charge, technically speaking. So yes, I actually blame them for their complicity in making this a nanny site where nothing can be discussed anymore. of course I might be deleted for saying this :(

By anonymous• 6 Oct 2010 22:52

have mercy on me, i don't want to "ooops" myself ;O)

By nomerci• 6 Oct 2010 22:52

Again, I ask you, what are the Mods to do? If people constantly cry "offensive" etc? See, I think it is not the Mods who are to blame, it is the users who are crying for them to DELETE.

btw, this is the nature of MOD's on QL to "ooops" a thread or a user, when they don't understand and scared of the unknown.

about what took place? When I posted it before bed, no one responded and then all I saw was that it was gone this afternoon when I logged on. I don't know if there was any discussion or not, and couldn't understand why it would be deleted.

By anonymous• 6 Oct 2010 22:26

as i said, that was of my interest, nothing offensive for me, for rest of the users, i'm not accountable.

due to some people thinking it is acceptable to take an oath of citizenship and not mean it. I used the example of Faisal Shahzad and quoted him.

Surprise, surprise! When I checked qatarliving today there was no sign of my thread and no explanation of why it was deleted.

Too many crybabies these days, that's for sure. Bashing Qataris? Don't make me laugh... Bashing Westerners, advertising Islam as the religion to follow and posting copies of English newspaper articles - now that's more like it. Creativity is gone and a Kindergarden has taken its place instead.

By anonymous• 6 Oct 2010 22:05

again ???

By nomerci• 6 Oct 2010 22:05

Besides, how can people complain about the Mods? Many of the users here are constantly crying "Mods, Mods, do something!!! He is offending me !! " Delete this, delete that....Those users do not seem to be able to stand up for themselves or defend themselves...or. simply IGNORE.

So what do you expect the Mods to do? Considering the way things are, I think they are actually pretty lenient...If I were a Mod, I would have banned half , at least half, of all users for eternity. lol

By Lion_King• 6 Oct 2010 22:00

People, I am NOT talking about a specific thread, or what the Mods are doing...I am talking about that even the QUANTITY of users/posts have drastically declined.

DO NOT hijack this thread for accusations and the usual BS...please, at least try, for a change.

By genesis• 6 Oct 2010 21:44

what's so offensive about questioning the meaning of God's own country?

why was it called that in the first place, it's not even original as New Zealand was called that first

By anonymous• 6 Oct 2010 21:39

with an addition of "ooops for that user" who is offensive for a specific bunch.

By genesis• 6 Oct 2010 21:35

so when the usual bunch of hijackers bash qataris it's alright. And one thread disappears all of a sudden because the same bunch think it's offensive!!?

By Bunnyhug• 6 Oct 2010 21:35

that's this thread deleted LOL

By Bunnyhug• 6 Oct 2010 21:34

everything is now so 'clinical' and over controlled. In the old days you could have a big 'ding dong' which created interest and promoted free speech ........ to a certain extent. Now, one syllable out of place, and the new regime of mods are on you like a ton of bricks.

Surprises me that the boss of QL allows this when it will affect his/their income.

If each and every individual who use QL realizes the fact that the quality of discussions/topics have been deteriorated during past few years and make an effort to revive it to the level of quality and standard by posting good stuff, then there could be a slim chance....

isn't this Part II for this particular thread, posted couple of days ago ?
