I have been following this new program 'Raaz pichle janam ka' (translation - Secret of your previous life / birth) on NDTV. Although I dont believe in it as our religion doesnt talk about multiple births of any individual, but I must say the stories coming from the patients & the way they are picturising the whole story is really worth believing.

What's ur take on this program.

What the hypno-therapist is doing is merely taking the subject to a hyper-suggestive state, and "guiding" their induced thoughts. To put it in plain English, it is nothing but a guided dream sequence. The subject's brain is functioning exactly as if it were dreaming (which we all do several times in our sleep sequence everyday - read about the REM phase of every sleep cycle). The only difference is that in normal sleep, there is very little outside suggestions that reach the brain (although some does - e.g., sometimes you dream of a dog licking your ear if a dog is actually licking your ear while you are asleep). A hypno-therapist is trained to keep that channel open while putting you to an otherwise normal (albeit induced) sleep. Notice how the hypno-therapist acts tough on the subject at all times, keeping the suggestions flowing constantly - otherwise the subject's thoughts become detached from reality exactly like in our dreams (and this would be particularly embarrassing in front of a national TV audience :). Notice how your everyday dreams always begin in realistic sequences before becoming increasingly fanciful. The hypno-therapist is trained to interject the subject's thoughts just before this happens, and quickly suggest another realistic alternative for him/her to continue dreaming.

The "unknown facts" that the subjects reveal are usually facts already known to him/her (perhaps even unknowingly - he/she might have read or heard it years back, and his/her conscious mind might have "forgotten" it, but it might still be present somewhere in the brain), or they're plainly unverifiable. E.g., in yesterday's episode the subject mentioned about a Durga Temple in Mangalore. Now, I happen to know this town quite well, and believe me, there is NO Durga Temple in the whole town! This is just a slip on the part of the TV show editors. I'm sure there are lots of such other things that they edit out conveniently!

Think scientific. Live scientific. There is no Rebirth / God / Devil / any such bullshit!

Thankyou for sharing this information, I dont understand what is this happening in the program. Our religion doesnt allow this & here they are talking about their previous lives.

hi..i just came accross this following report:

Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka reveals 1966 Air Crash story

NDTV Imagine’s shocking new reality show Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka which is going to be aired from today is sure to have you sitting at the edge of your seat as one of the Bhopal residents, Swati Singh who had an unexplainable fear of heights and air travel was taken back to her past life by psychologist Dr. Trupti Jayin.

Buzz up!Our source from the sets informs, "While recalling her past life, Swati went back to the year 1966 and saw herself as Mr. D Singh, an Indian sailor. She saw herself boarding an Air India flight No 101 to New York and was part of the 46 contingent of sailors. Suddenly while in mid-air somewhere in Geneva, smoke filled inside the aircraft leaving the co-passengers running helter-skelter. The Air India flight comprising of 106 passengers and the 11 crew members crashed near the summit of Mont Blanc in the Alps, leaving all the 117 people dead. Swati also recollected the fact that she saw noted Indian personality, Dr Homi Jehangir Bhabha, in the same flight who was on his way to Vienna."

"What left everyone shocked and astonished on the sets that the details given by Swati during her regression tallied with the exact factual details of this incident that took place in the year 1966." adds the source.

Our source goes on, "Most of the passengers were Indian nationals, 46 of whom were sailors. The Chairman of Indian Atomic Energy Commission Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha also died in the same air crash. Swati, who would shiver at the thought of travelling by air and panic during every take-off and landing heaved a sigh of relief. She definitely felt positive post the therapy."

“I was a complete skeptic and did not believe in the theory of Past Life Regression. But whatever happened to me during my the therapy was beyond my wildest imagination. I was shocked at the outcome of it all. I now am a believer and know that there is something beyond this world too.” says Swati Singh. Don’t miss this exciting episode with some shocking revelations as Dr. Trupti Jayin takes Swati Singh back into her past life on ‘Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka’, tonight on Imagine.
