Thanks a lot Jauntie and Qatarisun, for your soothing words, really helps.
I always shared a special relation with my Papa. No, I was not a perfect nice daughter. Many a times I put him troubles but he was there behind me every time.
I lost my dad when I was about 12 - takes a long time to get over that loss - I thought I never would. but! you and your family will .. you have my sympathy
I miss my father.....I lost him 7 months back.....now my mother has to live alone in India, as we are all sisters and don't have brother. Anyway I am going to bring her here in Doha soon. I miss her too..
Ohhhh,,this this thread made me cry...should stop now..
but they are coming over here in Dec for a visit..
miss fresh water fishing and tournaments...
miss all the green grass and trees, which right about now will be turning brown from the heat (no drought tho as its been raining nonstop in Texas for 2 months!)
WON'T miss the heat when I get home cause its just like here!
After living in Sydney where it was 3 degrees for a week before i came with constant thunderstorms and heavy downpours you start becoming grateful for the heat! :-P
misses my family back home (my parents, my siblings and my nieces).I been leaving away from home for over 11 yrs ... I found it everyone else also carry on with their life.
1. My mother - the epitome of patience, sacrifice, love, endurance and perseverance. Her (nagging) voice eases my homesickness.
2. My daughter - I left when she was 13 and now she's 16; I'm missing a lot...
3. My son - never spoke of him much but I do speak with him everyday. My mobile/office phone bills burns my pocket but it's worth every single riyals (QAR1 = 12.56 pesos)
4. My siblings - got 1 sister and 2 brothers; they give me headaches whenever I hear them tell their problems (over the phone); only if they would remember to ask how was I doing here in Qatar :-P
5. My "MAN" - left Qatar 6 months ago; e-mails and calls do keep us connected; LDR's such a DRAG but I'm cool because I'll see him comes September ;-)(talk about catching up)
6. of course, the "P**K" - all the dishes that I missed, including the cholesterol, high blood that goes along with it (lol). One more egg/chicken meal and I'll lay an egg sometime soon...lol
Me too novi! I miss the beautiful weather back home...and the green mountains..and the beach...and the people...and the fact that u can walk all around the city and talk to anyone and feel like everyone's family...arghhh...I MISS HOME!
