Why buy from local companies???

As someone who lives in Qatar and travels globally with my work, I would have preferred to use the national airline which is Qatar airways. Sadly they have seemed to price themselves out of the market compared to Emirates or Etihad. And the service is not getting any better. Changing your flight bookings, refusal to be flexible and plain arrogance is forcing passengers to other airlines. Because of this my company has opted to use other gulf carriers for travel. The savings is noticeable, service is much better and you get to your destination without someone changing your schedule without telling you. I would like to thank Qatar airways for saving us much money and a lot of grief by forcing us to find alternate airlines. Bravo!!

Government taxes

Costs of landing rights in other countries

Other airlines do not have the same level of service

Our equipment is newer than others

We have a more extensive customer support. (I’m still waiting to hear from customer what’s it call?)

Our staff is higher qualified there for cost more

Our people pay closer attention to your needs than other gulf carriers

Fuel surcharges

Route costs are decided by governments. Not the airlines

Overhead costs

It’s not our fault we could not contact you while you are overseas. They changed the flight and charged for no show leaving the passenger stranded.

that you cannot redeem qmiles for a partner, when looking this morning, if i wanted to use miles it was double each way i.e. 70,000 miles to get to bloody London Heathrow! If could fly business class both ways to Manila (actually this saturday) both ways cheaper than going to LHR economy. The price goes up but the service doesnt get any better, bloody rip off. What it needs is for BA to stop going via BAH then everyone would use them, or another airline direct to the UK.

QA must be saying, "we're the #1 airline, is why we're a tad more expensive" ;-)

We have transiting personnel from both Doha and Dubai. It’s the same QA is costs much more. The excuses that Qatar Airways agents give why they are more expensive are very entertaining.

It's obvious the other gulf carriers will be cheaper when it comes to flying out of Doha because you will have to transit via their hub station. Qatar Airways offers you a direct route in most cases and saves your time, therefore their ticket prices will be higher out of Doha.

If you were staying in Dubai, the Qatar Airways fares would be cheaper when compared to Emirates, because Qatar Airways, won't fly you direct out of Dubai to any destination, you would be routed via Doha.

As far as the service goes, I will refrain from commenting on that bit :-)

I would advise you to check with other gulf carriers and compare the prices. When I did ask the Qatar Airways agent why QA prices are much higher than other carriers, His answer was sad and insulting to anyone’s intellect. Find out which airlines fly to your destination and compare prices. From where you are booking the flight may make a difference in price. The key is to search and you will find the most economical tickets

Ok what would be the ticket price from Qatar to Lahore return . And also if I want to get a connected one means from Qatar-Riyadh-Lahore-Qatar. And I have to stay in Riyadh for 4 days. Give me the price with riyadh and without both.
