WORSE SERVICE FROM COMMERCIALBANK
i have been observing the services that COMMERCIALBANK staff is rendering to their clients and it is so frustrating to know that they have the worse service ever!! considering such a big name in the financial market in Qatar, COMMERCIALBANK (CBQ) on the contrary is not true to its mission & vision which they proudly say..

CAN YOU BELIEVE WHAT THIS BANK IS TRYING TO BLUFF?
I AM A VICTIM OF THIS "FRAUDULENT" SERVICE!!!
I AM LEAVING THE COUNTRY FOR GOOD AND THEY HOLD SUCH AMOUNT FROM MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT WHICH IS BIGGER THAN MY OUTSTANDING BALANCE IN MY VISA CARD.WHEN I TURNED OVER MY CREDIT CARD AND OFFICIALLY CANCELLED IT, THEY SAID THAT WHATEVER EXCESS AMOUNT FROM WHICH THEY HOLD WILL BE CREDITED BACK TO MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FOLLOW UP FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PHONE THEN TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONALLY IN THE BRANCH THEN TO THE RISK DEPARTMENT AND WHAT'S WORSE IS THEY KEEP TRANSFERING YOU FROM ONE PERSON TO THE OTHER!!!
IMAGINE, IN THIS BANK IF YOU FAILED TO PAY YOUR CREDIT ON TIME, THEY WILL AUTOMATICALY CHARGE YOU WITH LATE PAYMENT AND SEND NOTICES BUT WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR MONEY, THEY ARE NOT BOTHERED TO RETURN WHATEVER THE AMOUNT IS RIGHTFULLY DUE TO YOU.
IS THIS WHAT THEY CALL "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION?"
VERY, VERY BAD SERVICE IN RISK DEPARTMENT ESPECIALLY SAMAR OR TAMAHA OR WHOEVER SHE IS...I DONT THINK YOU PEOPLE ARE THE RIGHT PERSON ON THE JOB..YOU CAUSED SHAME TO THE INTEGRITY WHICH YOUR BANK IS TRYING TO PROJECT!!
EVEN NOW THAT I AM LEAVING, THEY HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO RETURN THE MONEY WHICH IS MINE..
I UNDERSTAND THAT PROCESSING THE CLEARANCE WILL TAKE AT LEAST A WEEK, BUT WHY CANT THEY CLEAR MY OUTSTANDING BALANCE IN MY CREDIT CARD WHERE IN FACT THEY HOLD SUCH AN AMOUNT FROM MY SAVINGS AND THEN CREDIT BACK TO MY ACCOUNT WHATEVER IS THE EXCESS????? SIMPLE...
ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT, THIS IS THE WORSE BANK THAT I EVER ENCOUNTER..

PITSTOP, i think the first response is from a CBQ staff as you can guess from the (CBQ) favourable reply. :-)
I'd like to know what the Commercial Bank employees think about this note. I know there are quite a few here.
I agree with you. CBQ has the worst customer service. this is from my personal experience.
They chase you for opening an account or taking a credit card. and thats it! after that we are at their mercy and they treat us as "irritants" and as the first post says, am always passed on to a new person each time with nobody caring to solving the issue. they never answer to your queries or provide feedback. and on top of this, as many of my friends also say... they charge service fee for even stepping into their office! RIDICULOUS Service from CBQ. Given a second chance I will not open an account there.
hav heard QNB and QIB are more customer friendly.

then cancel your credit card and let them chase you for settling the outstanding...

Sorry but it's not that simple. It can take up to 60 days for a credit card transaction to show up on your statement so they are well within their rights to withhold your security deposit until such time all transactions are cleared.
All banks do the same ,not just Commercial.
