Its fine. Even played in the summer months during the day and although its a bit rough I have the options of stopping. The poor guys in construction don't have that option and they are pulling 10 - 12 hour shifts.
i work in a construction site and u r true.. nepalese workers get at most 200$ a month and they work at nights and from night to 11. and 4-5 people faint every night even they work in night shift.
and i am really sad for what i am seeing here for the week i have been here.
just saw some football games on tv so i had come to that.. and a footballer from turkey, when he started working here he had a harem so i cud get the job:p
Football players have it easy by comparison nib....90 minutes of heat (and most of the games are played at night for this exact reason)...and they get paid well.
No, the poor sobs that have it the worst in my opinion...the construction workers and road works crew! god help them....I drive past in my air conditioned car sweating my butt off and it almost brings a tear to my eye when I see them toiling outside.
At least in Canada, the not so desireable jobs pay more (to attract people)...don't laugh but my first part time job back in high school was garbage collector...not because I had to (I am middle class and relatively well educated)...because in 1989 it paid $13/hour (almost double what all my other friends were making!)...but here in Qatar, these guys get paid peanuts to work in murderous conditions.
Sorry I didn't mean for it to degenerate into a rant.
Be safe all.
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?
