Arabic Words 4 Today
By osamabawab •
Hi everybody,
As requested by Mr. “dpatrick” and other QL friends, this is our continuous series of “the Arabic word of the day”, and since we are trying to learn the most commonly used words which will help us in our daily life let’s learn today some stationery names in Arabic Language:
Kortaseya = Stationery
qlm = Pen
Mestara = Ruler
Ketab = Book
Dafter = Copy-book
Melaf = File
All the comments or queries are always welcome.
Keep smiling!
but i feel its better to include arabic font too...(including english) coz pronounciation might be wrong...i am able to read arabic...bt doesnt know the meaning...many r ther who have the same problem
i wrote this coz..in todays words..the pen word in arabic is wrote as qlm..but suddenly i didn know how to pronounce...so wen i went for the meaning...i came to know the pronociation..(coz i know the arabic word of pen b4)
For my part, I protest. After having learned the Arabic alphabet I could begin to read signs and posters in the streets, and through this I got new words, too. Most of the posters and signs are written in English and Arabic. And a thread "Arabic letter of the Day" won't be too bad an idea.
LP: i guess that learning how to speak the most commonly used and the basic arabic words is more important than learning how to write arabic and the letters, so i don't think that it is a good idea to use arabic letters.
correct me if i am wrong
One letter every day would be easy, I guess.
esquace:
there are many people who don't know how to read the arabic letters, so that will make the teaching more complicated
Thnx osama...pls continue
it will be more better if u mention arabic letters also in this thread with bigger size font. So that to read and understand.
Thanks! Keep it up.
it is not easy to remember, for me atleast,
"maktaboho leasa fe haza al - tabeq"
FS:
Formal: Maktaboho leasa fe haza al-tabeq
Local: Maktabo mosh be haza al-tabeq
= his office is not in this floor
Except the first word...the rest are easy to remember..:)
Thanks Osama.
How do you say 'his office is not in this floor'.
its getting hard to pronounce it now..
